21 things you should never buy new

There are some solid suggestions in the article in US News & World Report about 21 Things You Should Never Buy New. My friend Sherri suggests paperbackswap.com for trading books. She also mentions that there is a CD and DVD swap as well through them.  Are there any other items you just won't buy new? Feel free to share any sites you recommend for finding deals on used items.
