I received an e-mail today about upcoming activities surrounding the grand opening of the new Krispy Kreme in Wake Forest. It's a little too far for me to drive for free donuts, but for all of you in Wake Forest, this looks like fun!  Opening day is July 7 and there are a bunch of giveaways for the first folks in line. They are also having a Krispy Kreme Social on July 11 from 2 pm - 5 pm with free soft serve cones or donuts for each person! 

Following is the e-mail I received. Make sure you join Friends of Krispy Kreme at the link in the box so you don't miss any of these events in the future.

"On Wednesday, July 7, Krispy Kreme will turn on the Hot Light at its newest location at 11721 Retail Drive (across from the Chick-fil-A) in Wake Forest, NC -- giving customers another location to enjoy their favorite treats.

The new Neighborhood Store will open at 6 a.m., but all you Original Glazed® doughnut fans better arrive early!

• The first customer to walk through the door will receive one free dozen Original Glazed doughnuts every week for a year.

• The next 11 customers will receive one free dozen Original Glazed doughnuts every month for a year.

• The first 100 customers through the door will receive an official Krispy Kreme Wake Forest T-shirt.
•  
• The first 12 customers through the drive-thru will receive an official Krispy Kreme Wake Forest T-shirt.

As part of the store's grand opening activities, we're inviting you, our Wake Forest Friends of Krispy Kreme to a Krispy Kreme Social on Sunday, July 11, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. As our guest, you and your family will be able to enjoy one Kool Kreme® soft serve cone or doughnut absolutely FREE (limit one item per person during the event). You will also be able to sample other Kool Kreme products and our Krispy Kreme Chillers®. On-site kid's activities will include face painting, coloring sheets and balloons.

Our new store will carry the same familiar menu as our other area stores, including our delicious Kool Kreme -- which comes in Very Vanilla, Deep Chocolate, and Swirl. The menu also offers customers traditional cones, shakes and specialty doughnut sundaes, all paired with a toppings bar.

So, join us on opening day on July 7th and for our Krispy Kreme Social on July 11th."
