Four Kellogg cereals recalled

Posted June 26, 2010

Kellogg Co. has voluntarily recalled about 28 million boxes of Apple Jacks, Corn Pops, Froot Loops and Honey Smacks.

To see if your cereal has been recalled, check for the letters "KN" in the use-by-date.

If you want more information about the recall or are seeking a refund, you can call the Kellogg Consumer Response Center at 888-801-4163 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

See WRAL's story for more details about the recall, and get information about other major recalls.

Faye, I did the same with my two boxes of recalled cereal (after putting the cardboard boxes in recycle, of course). I was VERY glad that I learned about this BEFORE I delivered my next shipment to the local food pantry.

    :-)

Youa re welcome! My thanks to totalchaos for sending me an e-mail about the recall! I also had 2 boxes and have already called for my replacement coupons. The boxes I have are headed right for the garbage.

Ditto the thanks! I too had 4 boxes of these (collecting codes so we could go see Toy Story 3!) I had another two boxes with the "KN" but the month did not fall in between the dates of that particular recall...

Thanks so much Faye for posting this information. I do have some of the recalled items so I'll be calling the consumer response center to find out how to get a replacement for the items. Thanks again for looking out for us and all that you do!
