No, 10 for $10 you don't have to buy 10. But for the special sale they are having for the 3.00 off deal, you do have to buy a combination of 10 of the products in order to get the deal.

  • angellynnclark Jun 24, 2010

i have a question about kroger. when it say $10 for 10, do you actually have to buy 10? I know CVS does that sometimes too, but it seems like not such a great deal if you have to buy 10 of the same item.

Thanks for helping out Kris, dkg!

Kris, if you click on the "Super Doubles good deals list" link in the box at the top of the page, you will be able to see all the details about super doubles. Welcome to couponing! I also suggest you read the information boxes on the front page of the Smart Shopper blog (click the Smart Shopper logo at the top of this page to get to the home page of the blog). You will find info on grocery store coupon policies, drug store rebate programs and more.

Erika - you are supposed to still pay tax on an items price even when it is free with coupons. Since there is no coupon involved with the HT freebies, it must be charging tax on the total after discount, which is zero. Enjoy the totally free freebies from HT!

  • dkg0502 Jun 23, 2010

kris- HT's ad week starts on Wed. and goes through Tuesday. Normally HT will double q's that have a face value of .99 or less. Super doubles are when HT will double your q's that have a face value of $1.98 or less. They double q's every day but super double weeks only come around every once in awhile

  • Erika in CH Jun 23, 2010

Faye, I used the Rolaids coupon ($4 off 2, $1.99 each) at Target to get them free, but still had to pay sales tax. My husband picked up our free frozen yogurt at HT yesterday, but did not have to pay tax. What is your understanding of this? Thanks!

Forgive me because I am new to this site. When you say it is super doubles time at Harris Teeter, does this mean that this week they will be doubling their coupons? And if so, up to how much will they double? And does their week go from Sunday to Saturday?
