I am going to post today's shop in a new thread with a picture later this evening. Such a good trip I had today!

I saved $50.70 and only paid $2.67 on 20 items today!! Thank you so much for all of the HT deals that you posted earlier.

My 2nd shop went something like this... Total before sales & coupons - $79.37 Paid - $17.72 77% savings (lots of 7s) Total savings - $61.65 I have... 3 planters nut bars 1 Tenda Bake cornmeal 2 Kotex (which got me again) guess I grabbed the wrong one! 1 each Pantene Shampoo & conditioner 2 J&J Baby powder 1 Sara Lee hotdog buns 4 Bob evans breakfast bowls 3 Red Baron Singles pizza 1 HT plain Bagels 2 Philly Cream Cheese brick 2 Philly cream ch tubs 2 Activia 1 Fiber One 1 Ball Park Jumbo hotdogs (marked down to 2.19 and had a .75 peelie on it, thats what I'm talking about, wooooo) =)which in turn got my free SL buns Not as good as first shop. But still a big savings. I am not complaining at all!

So I finally had a chance to shop tonight and here are my totals:

Amount before sales and coupon: $55.01

Amount saved with sales & coupons: $51.59

Amount Paid: $3.42

% Saved: 93%

In addition to using manufacturer's coupons for everything I bought, I also had a Food Lion register coupon for $3 off a $30 purchase. Harris Teeter takes competitor's coupons for dollars off your total order. They don't take competitor's coupons for specific products. The $3 off $30 coupon printed out at Food Lion 2 days ago. I gave the cashier the coupon before the manufacturer's coupons.

I bought:

3 Oikos yogurt - free w/ $1 penguin coupon

3 Bestlife buttery sprays - .34 w/ $1 penguin coupon

3 Kraft 100 cal cheese snacks - Free w/ Kraft first taste coupons

1 South Beach Bars - .50 w/ $1 coupon in mail

3 Oscar Mayer deli meat - .95 w/kraft coupons

3 OM Deli Creations - .50 w/$1 coupon on deli meat packages I bought

2 fiber one and 2 yo plus yogurts - free

sduncan - since January 2009, Harris Teeter has been either super doubling or tripling coupons once per month. The promotions have lasted for one week each time and usually occur on the 3rd or 4th week of the month (but not always). We are very lucky they have been so generous and I hope they continue the monthly promotion FOREVER! :-)

That is a great story skdouble - he's already hooked after 1 shop! I met a nice lady in the Clayton Library today (shout out to all the couponers there!) who just started couponing and she is totally addicted as well. Such fun!

The coupon policy does not specify if the 3 identical coupon policy is per day or per order. You can find the policy here: http://www.harristeeter.com/promotions/online_coupons/coupon_policy.aspx

I don't know which they had in mind when they wrote the policy, but my guess is probably only 3 identical per day per household. Here is the wording on their website: "We double up to three identical items with manufacturer coupon; additional coupons for like item will be honored at face value."

Your card will let you double up to 20 of the same coupon per day but the policy is only 3 identical coupons. Glad I could give you a clear as mud response! :-)

Here is a funny story for you. My neighbor who has 4 kids and never uses coupons is now using coupons. I helped him on Tuesday while working the Elections and waiting on the 49 people to vote. I also showed him your site and savvy dollar. He said I am going to try it. I said watch out it is a big rush when you save a lot of money.

Today as I am on my way to pick up my daughter I see him waving his H-T receipt in the driveway. He spent $140.00 and saved $83.00. Not bad for his first time. He is putting his binder together as we speak.

Before long we will all be using coupons to help us out. I went and spent $38.41 and saved $64.53. Not to bad! Have a great week and happy shopping!

I was excited about my dipping sauce! I even used it last night on a quickie meal of chicken nuggets. It was good! I will buy again now that I know it tastes good!

I have more coupons but no time to go thru. I'd love to go at lunch today and I might but I'm not organized enough. I'll just be happy with what I got and save my coupons for the next good deal. I think I used most of my over $1 coupons so now I will wait to see a triples week!
