Oh and Jen, forgot to mention, you'll get a $5 RR for buying the razor too, so you basically 'rolled' it and got another near free product :)

  • Nancy Jun 9, 2010

jenstar, if you have the $4 coupon for the Gillette Fusion Glide razor from the Sunday inserts, you can take your $5 RR and apply it with the $4 coupon and walk away with a razor for .89 cents :) Considering they are $10 razors, it's a deal! And no, you never buy refills for it, it's cheaper and better than any disposable razor.

When the Fusions first came out there were coupons/deals at all the drug stores for over a month, my husband and son are set for at least a year with the razors, not disposables, but that's how they're using them because the cartridges are very high priced :)

  • jenster69 Jun 9, 2010

Very excited. I got 3 John Frieda products, 1 tub Pampers wipes and 2 .39 cent bags of candy for a total of $6.70. Plus got $5 RR for next purchase. I had to get Walgreens to rescan the products b/c the cashier did not scan one of the shampoo's which did not give me my rewards. That might be one of my best buys so far! Granted I don't use John Frida shampoo but I'm learning to use whatever is on sale! So is my husband. Lol

yep - got a $5 off $15 CVS coupon today at the end of the receipt for my first transaction. I used it right away on stuff I had already planned to buy!

  • Nancy Jun 8, 2010

And in good form, I'm scooping up Rite Aid and Walgreen deals while I'm up here in the northern hinterland of NY state :)

At least they have those stores to feed my addiction to bargain hunting LOL

I have plenty of room to carry back goods, so I'm doing my best to gather while I'm here.

Still miss CVS and HT so much though ~sigh~ I just KNOW I'm going to miss a HT triples before I return! And I'm missing what appears to be a CVS customer appreciation event with great coupons being printed out of their in store scanners :(

I'll be ready to strike when I return though :))

candiking - All You magazine is only sold at Walmart or online.

Not sure which deal had the vlassis insert (don't have time to look through them all right now and can't remember) but it is an older insert and not one you can find now unless you saved the inserts from the date I posted.

  • candiking Jun 8, 2010

What/where is the valassis insert? I have a RP, SS & P&G inserts. Is the valassis insert one of those that I can't fnd? Also, I went to the new Walmart on 55 and they did not know anything about a All You Magazine. I asked a cashier, the greeter and he asked a manager. So where would it usually be located? Thanks

  • Nancy Jun 8, 2010

The one thing I absolutely dislike about Walgreens RR's are the fact that if it is issued by, let's say, Proctor and Gamble, you can't use that RR on further P&G products :/

Now, doesn't that sound stupid? Why would P&G want you to spend that money on their competitors products? But that's exactly what you end up doing because you can't roll it back into buying more P&G products.

It's a game, and I will play by the rules, just too bad they make it so difficult to 'win' :)

    But win we will!!!

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Jun 7, 2010

Yep - order does matter. I guess I should have mentioned that earlier! Glad they finally went through, though.

  • jenster69 Jun 7, 2010

Okay I have a question of which will be the best deal at Walgreens since it is still a little confusing to me. I want to purchase the 3 John Frida hair products. I have 2 $3 coupons and 1 $2 coupon. Plus 2 tubs of Pampers wipes 2/$5 in which I have 2 $2 coupons. I also have $3 in RR that I want to use. If I buy a candy bar will that work out? Or will I need to use my $3 RR instead of the $2 MQ on the 3rd hair product to get the best deal. I'm new at all of this. Thx. I don't want to hold up the line if it is really busy
