Excellent suggestion, carolinejosh! My girls really enjoyed participating in their local summer program last summer at the Clayton Library. Check out the list of kids summer movie programs I just posted on Friday as well. Lots of free and very inexpensive movies to see this summer when you are looking to beat the heat and keep the kiddos entertained.

I adore the summer reading programs that are available. Keep in mind that in addition to the retail opportunities, the public libraries also have wonderful summer reading programs. What could be better on a scorching summer day than hanging out in the library with your munchkin(s)! Keep 'em coming, please Faye! I'm always looking for summer ideas!

Yes, most HT, Lowes and Kroger stores in this area double coupons that say Do Not Double when they automatically scan and double at the registers. If the bar code starts with a 5, they will almost always automatically scan and double. If the bar code starts with a 9 they do not double. So,the printable Sara Lee coupon does double and worked perfectly this morning. Every once in a while you get a cashier who won't double them but it is really really rare. The HT in Wilson never doubles DND coupons. Welcome to couponing! Let us know if you have any other questions. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the times - but I'm new to couponing and have a question about Lowes foods. Do they double the printable coupons that say do not double or triple? The Sara Lee bread coupon says "do not double". I'll use it regardless, but I was curious because of the note about $.49 bread.
