A new grocery store is coming to Durham and it is much more than just a full-service grocery. According to their website, the store is run by TROSA, "a residential program that enables substance abusers to be productive, recovering individuals by providing comprehensive treatment, work-based vocational training, education, and continuing care."  The TROSA Grocery Store helps TROSA residents learn job skills while also generating revenue to help support TROSA's program. So, this grocery store serves a number of purposes: proving food for folks who live in East Durham and providing job training for TROSA residents.

The TROSA Grocery Grand Opening is Thursday, May 13 at 11:30 AM.

Durham Mayor Bill Bell will be on hand for the ribbon cutting and the TROSA band will provide the entertainment. There will also be a raffle and sampling of food items. For more information, click the link in the box above. The address of the grocery store is 2104 Angier Avenue, Durham.
