On Kroger's website you can design a reusable bag to be entered into a contest for best design. Just for designing a bag you get a coupon for a free reusable bag loaded to your Kroger Plus card to use at the store. The designs for the bag are are premade template on their website so it is not hard to do. The promotion is part of their Earth Day awareness.

kitty - 9 cents each for ice cream...what a good day!

sb1 - I have not heard about a change in policy regarding BOGO printables, but most stores will not take printables for free items. I'll check with corporate, but I am not surprised. There has been too much coupon fraud over the years with printables so they are just trying to protect themselves. It's really very sad that people feel the need to cheat the system because it prevents us from being able to use those coupons legitimately.

Thanks for the heads up, Laura! Make sure you get your price scan guarantee free item since you were charged an incorrect price.

  • KLW Apr 22, 2010

Faye...I guess it was because the $1.50 coupon actually came off the meat since it was for $1.50 off meat WYB the sauce. Whatever it was, I was pleased!

Faye, Huge thanks for all you do on this. I would never go into a store without reading your specials here!! You rock!

In the North Hills HT, I got 2 wine tags on bottles at the bread sample counter for $1.50 off a bakery item. It scanned on the bogo bread too.

And, I bought ground turkey. It didn't ring up bogo so I will take my receipt back in, but there were several packages with the $1 off coupon! If it would have rung up right on the special that would be a killer deal!

    Thanks again! Laura

Faye, First of all, thank you for all the information you post!
I have learned so much from you about saving money.

I wanted to ask if you had heard about the change in coupon policy at Foodlion. I stopped in the local Hillsborough store tonight off Churton Street to use an electronic coupon I had gotten from Tropicana for a B1G1 free on Tropicana Trop50. I had printed it out a few weeks back and it expired today. When I went to use it, I was informed that Foodlion no longer accepts coupons printed out from your printer if they were free. This was one was a coupon that went it prints has the bricks.com url and shows the barcode with a number on it like the coupons.com coupons so it has the multiple barcodes on it. The cashier asked if I wanted to speak to the store manager and I said yes because I just wanted further clarfication on the policy. He said that Foodlion had recently sent out a policy change that they were not to accept any coupons with something free...

kittyluvr, I thought the same thing when I saw the containers! They look like tubs of butter, so I'm sure I can find something to put in them after the ice cream is gone.

  • Amomoftwo Apr 21, 2010

I got the Blue Bunny Personals BOGO and can't wait to get them. I ran across a great deal a fews years ago and got them for 9 cents each..... (thirty cent coupon tripled)....the small containers are perfect for freezing individual portions of casseroles or single servings of other foods. A great reason to eat ice cream!

    Thanks for sharing everyone!

Coffeecrazy - you are so welcome. It's so nice to hear the info is helpful.

Thanks for the blur bunny info javajoe - sounds like you will be having some ice cream tonight!

Karen - very good to know they took both coupons on the Classico deal! I am surprised they allowed both, but enjoy the good buy!

I drove right by the HT at Cameron Village today but had no time to stop and shop..... maybe tomorrow. I will, however, be picking up some free milk and produce tonight at Walmart using my $25 gift card using my credit card reward points. :-)

    Happy shopping everyone!

  • javajoe Apr 21, 2010

I just stopped by Harris Teeter and saw the Blue Bunny Personals (never heard of them before) -- they were on sale for $0.99, then with the B1G1 it totaled $0.99 for 2, or about 50cents each.

I also saw several items in the meat department reduced (close-date items, I assumed). Bob Evans sausage, Jimmy Dean sausage rolls -- $2.00 off the regular price of $2.99

  • KLW Apr 21, 2010

I was able to use both coupons mentioned in the Classico blurb for HT...the $1.50 off of meat when you buy two jars of sauce, and the $1 off of two jars. We're having a cookout this weekend so I saved on some ground beef with that first one!
