Thanks Faye, I'll try to pay closer attention. I have taken advantage of the $5 off on buying 10 at Kroger. This week if you buy 10, you get a code for a movie ticket, music downloads, or ring-tones. I got one Saturday and haven't used it yet, so I'm not quite sure how it works. I've never had a coupon argument with Kroger, so I'm unaware of any limit. Thanks again.

Here is the last sentence from the post below - Lowe's Foods allows 4 like coupons.

The key here is not to compare regular prices. Nobody should be paying regular prices anyway so comparing them does you no good. You want to get the BEST price each week on the items you use, stock up to hold you over for a few weeks until the next good sale and never pay regular price again. There is no one store with all the best deals so you want to target the loss leaders at a couple stores each week. You don't have to hit them all- nobody has time for that. I recommend giving HT another look by reading the Wednesday blog with this week's grocery deals. Compare the HT deals with sales and coupons to the Kroger deals and you will find that both stores offer good deals every week. HT usually offers more because they double coupons that are a higher value. AGain, when Kroger offers the buy 10, get $5 off deals though - they are the place to shop for the week!

itsmyopinion, Harris Teeter has deals that rival or beat Kroger every week with their sales & double coupons. If you read my grocery deals post on Wednesdays, you’ll see that HT & Lowe's have excellent deals every week on more items than the other stores that don't double .75 coupons or don't double at all. I like Kroger, Food Lion, Aldi & Walmart for deals on produce & meat but for most condiments, pasta, rice, cereal, & dairy - it's cheaper at HT and Lowe's when you buy on sale with a coupon. HT & Lowe’s also offer fab meat & produce deals every week. I love it when Kroger offers the buy 10 get $5 promos. Great deals to be had there & I do promote them on the Wednesday deals blog post when Kroger offers the promo.

If you don't want to use coupons, then other stores will have similar sale prices but the combo of good sale (BOGO) & .75 coupon doubled is tough to beat at any of the other stores. PLUS, my Kroger only allows 2 like coupons per day. HT allows 3 & Lowe's Foods allows

I'm uncertain as to why Harris Teeter is promoted so much, because I don't see their regular prices as competitive with Kroger at all. What am I missing? I understand you can get real deals when they triple coupons up to 99 cents, but, come on, who has 99 cent coupons -- really? A 75 cent coupon is generally the highest amount I see under a dollar, and, yes, it's a great deal when tripled. When will they triple again? I seem to always miss it until the last day, and with a limit of 20 coupons, I don't do so well. Obviously if one lives near HT and can stop by every day during a promotion, it's a good deal, but for normal weekly shopping habits, I just don't get it.
