lol...ooopps! Well they have been taking them for a while. I beleive I shop at the same one you do. Guess I better be glad they took them as long as they did. =)

THE STORE THAT REFUSED THE INTERNET COUPONS IS IN ST. PAULS. THE REGISTER RANG THEM UP, BUT THEN THE CASHIER SAID THEY WERE NO LONGER ALLOWED TO ACCEPT THEM EVEN THOUGH THEY SCANNED. NATURALLY, I DIDN'T PURCHASE THE ITEMS THE COUPONS REPRESENTED. I WILL SPEAK TO THE MANAGER ON MY NEXT VISIT AND POSSIBLY CONTACT THE 1-800 CUSTOMER SERVICE LISTED ON THE RECEIPT. THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR HELP.

tot - My HT has not taken drug store competitor's coupons for a long time. They only take $/$$ coupons from other grocery stores. This is one of those YMMV (your mileage may vary) issues - some stores will take them and some will not.

  • t0tAlChA0s Apr 9, 2010

I was told by HT manager, quote.… “We are trying to get away from taking competitors $ amount off the total, but since they are in the parking lot, we will take it this time. But just know that we will probably not accept them anymore…you know, the ones that print like a receipt”. I have never had a problem using my CVS extra bucks there. They have been taking them for months with no questions asked. However, I really didn’t give this statement much merit since the name that I saw in the parking lot was Rite Aid and not CVS. It also may have been that it was $8 off. Any change in the policy at HT that anyone knows about?

"Ok, thanks. Since the price on the Lowes website was regular price, not 1/5 of the price, I didn't think it would work. Thanks for the correction."

KLW, just because it reads that way on the website or in the print ad won't necessarily mean that's how it will ring up - this is an 'odd' on given that they rarely do the B2G3 type deals which are more common to HT than Lowes.

Having said that, I would still watch how it rings up, hand over the coupons and see what happens, the worst that can happen is that they will reject the second coupon :)

I know HT has had no problem accepting such coupons on their B3G3 deals in the past.

It can't hurt to try. I haven't done my Lowe's run this week, will be doing it Saturday and will be getting the Palermo pizza deal, will try the two coupons ($1/2) and see what happens. I'll report here for future reference for us :) Again, we always have to consider YMMV (your mileage may vary = depends on each store etc)

    Oh, Faye, you're welcome :)

dbztward - I have been using printable manuf coupons at FL for years with no issues. I did speak with customer service today to confirm the policy and here is the response she sent via e-mail:

"Our company will gladly accept manufacturer and store coupons, provided they scan in our register system. We will however, decline the use of single-sided coupons offering a free product, a coupon that has a higher dollar amount than the value of the product, a competitors' coupon, or if the coupon appears to be fraudulently generated, copied, or reproduced. We will accept internet printed coupons in our stores, however, we reserve the right to decline acceptance if the coupons are deemed to be fraudulent."

Did you ask to speak with the manager? That would have been my next step. At what store did they refuse your internet coupon?

  • bronzegoddess40 Apr 8, 2010

dbztward, I have heard that too when I printed the coupons and took them to Food Lion.

  • dbztward Apr 8, 2010

    DEAR FAYE,
TWO FOOD LION CASHIERS JUST TOLD ME THAT THEY AREN'T ALLOWED TO ACCEPT COMPUTER COUPONS ANYMORE. THE ONLY EXCEPTION ARE THE FOUR FOOD LION COUPONS EMAILED WITH THEIR WEEKLY SPECIALS. THEY SAID FOOD LION ISN'T REIMBURSED FOR THESE COUPONS. HAVE ANY OTHER FOOD LION CUSTOMERS BEEN TOLD THAT?

    YOUR SITE IS WONDERFUL!!

  • KLW Apr 8, 2010

Ok, thanks. Since the price on the Lowes website was regular price, not 1/5 of the price, I didn't think it would work. Thanks for the correction.
