Great ideas Karen! Thank you for sharing them. :-)

  • KLW Mar 26, 2010

kitty...I grab a paper ream box from work. It has the handle holes and a lid. We've filled up three boxes so far and usually only pay about 10-15% of what the value of the food is, thanks to couponing and sales. And I have always tried to purchase the light and reduced sodium items for myself and my husband, and the food pantry that we donate to has LOTS of clients who have dietary restrictions, so that's what we donate too. The director of the program said they set aside those items when they're lucky enough to get donations of it, because there's a high demand.

I love reading about all the deals everyone has pickedup! I have been out of town but am ready to hit HT early in the AM and get stocked! KLW, great to see the donation box idea..I usually store mine in a bag but think a box would be sturdier and easier to transport.

Lowe's doubles coupons up to 99 cents

  • dkg0502 Mar 25, 2010

Faye- Lowe's doubles coupons up to .50 or .75?

  • j3434 Mar 25, 2010

Only saved 40% today, but considering I got Tide, Bounce, Hefty trash bags, kid toothpaste, and a 3-pack of Kleenex, that's not too bad. French's has the spicy brown and the yellow for 2/$3, so I stocked up on both. Also got come cups and plates for upcoming bday parties. Last but not least, free Mueller's bowtie pasta from a Q I have been holding for a long time sent directly from the manufacturer when I inquired about the intricacies of Whole Wheat and Whole Grain and the slight differences in the coupons. :)

  • Nancy Mar 25, 2010

ashtonbeth, you can see the ad on Harris Teeter's website directly and sign up to have weekly emails from HT when the new ad is released too!

    www.harristeeter.com

As a matter of fact, you can do that with all the local grocery and drugs store companies :)

  • ashtonbeth Mar 25, 2010

Hi, Faye - I was looking for the HT triples info, but didn't see it in a grey box you had mentioned. Please advise - I might be blind! Thank you, and great job, KLW!
