Hi Audrey, $140.00 is ALOT better than $200!! Great job! You are right - it does get easier every week. Give yourself about 8 - 12 weeks to get your stockpile going, your coupon inventory up to speed and get into the weekly groove of couponing and meal planning. You will find that very soon it is alot easier and your savings will continue to increase.

Thanks Faye! I went to Lowes and bought 140.00 dollars worth for 95.00. I guess it gets better with time. I was hoping it would be lower!! It's alot better than it has been..200.00 per week!!!! Thanks to the meal planning and everything I'm learning from you!!!!!

Hi Audrey, Welcome to couponing and to the blog! In the next post below are the items I bought at the Lowe's Foods shop I mentioned on WRAL-FM this morning. This was not my only shop this week. I also did a loss leader shop at Harris Teeter tonight where I picked up their best deals for the week. It will help you to figure out these deals better if you read the Wednesday deals I listed on the blog last Wednesday. I post them each Wednesday for Harris Teeter, Lowe's Foods, Kroger and Food Lion. They outline which coupons I used and where I got them. Here is the link to that post for the deals I got at HT and Lowe's this week - just copy and paste it into your browser. http://www.wral.com/5onyourside/smartshopper/blogpost/7155587/

At Harris Teter tonight my subtotal before sales and coupons was $49.77 and I spent $17.53 for a savings of 65%. I bought Cantaloupe, cucumbers, roma tomatoes, HT shredded cheese, cheese sticks, granola bars and tortilla chips.

Again, welcome!

So that last post jumbled everything together. Let's see if this one is a little easier to read!
