Walgreens is offering a special promotion Tuesday and Wednesday, 9/25 - 9/26: Get 5000 Balance Rewards points when you spend $30. It's basically like getting a $5 reward back.

You need to be signed up for the new Balance Rewards program which you can do online HERE.

I didn't want to take my chance on having less than $30 because I was on my lunch brake so I made sure I had $30 after coupons.

I got the 5000 bonus rewards today. You do have to spend $30 in one transaction. I got an okay deal on diapers. Pampers are 2/$10; got 3 pks. had a total of $4.50 in mfg coupons, had to pick up a few other small items to make it $30 but also got back $5 RR from the diaper purchase plus the 5000 pts which = $5.

No - the fine print on the Walgreens website indicates:

"Balance Rewards point offer good 09/25/2012 thru 09/26/2012 except when otherwise noted. Points will not be earned in a transaction where Redemption Dollars or Store Credit is used. Point Promotions will not apply to and Points cannot be earned on purchases of: alcohol; dairy; tobacco; stamps; phone/prepaid cards; money orders/transfers; transportation passes; lottery tickets; charitable donations; pseudoephedrine or ephedrine product; prescriptions, health tests, contact lenses, or certain items that are excluded in particular Point Promotions, and any other items specified as exclusions by the Company from time to time or where prohibited by law."
