Groupon deal: Regal movie tickets!

Published: 2012-09-25 10:06:00
Updated: 2012-09-25 10:06:00

Groupon has a good deal today for 2 or 4 movie tickets for select Regal movie theaters.

You can choose one of the following options:

$13 for two VIP Super Saver e-Tickets (up to a $25 value)

$26 for four VIP Super Saver e-Tickets (up to a $50 value)

Here is some of the fine print from the Groupon website:

"VIP Super Saver e-Tickets have no expiration date. They cannot be used for admission to special engagements or selected movies within 12 days of the original release date. VIP Super Saver e-Ticket holders may pay a $1.50 surcharge at the box office for admission to the selected new releases (surcharge fees can vary at select locations). Surcharge fees apply to all IMAX, RPX, large format and 3D films. "

Click HERE for all the details on this deal and more.

If you are new to Groupon, it's an easy way to get 1/2 price deals on activities all around town including dining, bowling, facials, massages, movies, haircuts, oil changes, special events and more. You buy the deal, print the coupon and then present it at the business to redeem.

Getaways: One of my favorite sections of Groupon in the summer is the Getaways section (found at the top of the Groupon home page). Here you can find great deals to hotels and destinations in NC and all over the world. We have used a number of the Getaway Groupons to places including Williamsburg/Busch Gardens, the NC mountains and more.   We stayed at our favorite Blowing Rock inn this summer for half price using a Groupon deal!

Groupon Goods: Groupon also offers deals on items you can buy online through Groupon Goods. To see the Groupon Goods deals, click on "Goods" at the top of the page HERE. These are usually 1/2 price deals on products that are mailed to you after purchase. You pay for the purchase, give your name and mailing address at checkout and the item is mailed to you. I have purchased a number of items through Groupon Goods and have found them to be good quality.

Groupon Rewards: Groupon also started a new Rewards program. When you register your credit card with Groupon and spend a certain amount at participating retailers, you earn rewards for that business including free Groupons to use there. You can see more details at Groupon, click on the Rewards link at the top right of the home page.

The matinee price for the White Oak theater is $7.50 per person. That's great if you are finding matinee prices at theaters showing current movies for $6, rlfaulkner.

I go to the movies once a month and I don't think this is a good deal, however I never go at night. I usually go between 4-6 and it is a special during that time (about $6)...even cheaper than going during the earlier part of the day, although I cannot remember the exact price, I believe it is $7. I also have a coupon book with Regal coupons which I use also.

I'm right there with ya, mhdeland! :-)

I LOVE the monthly free Redbox movie code they text!

boy I'm out of touch with movie prices lately! I usually go to the $1.50 theatre. Trying to be frugal :-)

mhdeland - for an adult evening/weekend ticket at a regular movie theater (including Regal White Oak in Garner), the cost is $10 per person. Kids and seniors are $7.00 each.

Personally, we prefer Redbox $1.20 movies, but every once in a while we actually go to the movie theater. For those who go more often, this is a good deal, especially for adult tickets.

I think $6 is almost the regular price I pay to see a movie.
