Food Lion Deals 9/5: Chicken, carrots, apples & more!

Posted September 4, 2012

Food Lion has a new Store Brand Super Sale running 9/5 - 9/11. Save up to $10 when you buy store brand items. There are also good deals starting 9/5 for chicken breasts, granny smith apples, carrots and more!  These deals are valid 9/5 – 9/11.  It's kind of a slow week for Food Lion deals, so please share any others you find.

Food Lion Coupon Basics

Food Lion does not double coupons

They have no limits on number of coupons they will take, unless specified in the ad

BOGO items ring up at half price so if you only buy 1, it rings at half price. You can use a coupon on each BOGO sale item.

E-Coupons: You can now load RedPlum.com manufacturer’s coupons to your Food Lion MVP card and when they scan your card at the register and you buy the qualifying items, the discount will come off automatically. I spoke with corporate and they confirmed that these are manufacturer’s coupons and not to be combined with hard copy manufacturer’s from the newspaper and other sources. She said their policy is only 1 coupon per product. No e-coupons will double. Click HERE for more information.

Nakabi - The last time I bought the FL shrimp I recall it was more than the HT Buy 2 Get 3 Free deal this week per lb. If you have the room in your fridge and budget for the 10 lbs of shrimp from HT, I believe it is a better deal (going on memory from last time I bought it at FL). I sure wish Food Lion had an online price option like HT and LF!

Sounds like an apple dish my daughter would love, straitlover!

Blue Devil - my buy price for a 2 ltr of soda is $1 or less, which you can usually find many times a month at various stores. This week, Walgreens and Rite Aid have good deals on 7UP, A&W and Sunkist soda. LF will have Pepsi for $1.25 for a 2 ltr starting tomorrow. I don't see them on sale in the HT ad either starting tomorrow. Sorry.

$1.25 is higher than I like to pay, but if you are in a pinch, it's better than full price. Hopefully they will be $1 somewhere next week for you.

does anyone know how much the BOGO prawns (shrimp) are? I know there is a good deal at HT that ends today so wondering if this is a better deal.Faye-any input?

Food Lion also has 2 liter Pepsi product 4 for $5. I think this is a pretty good deal if you like to purchase this size. I will getting some of the granny smith apples also as they are my favorite!

Yay on the granny smith apples! I have half a jar of caramel topping in the fridge I need to use up. Cut up the GS apple, heat the caramel in the microwave and pour over the apple - lazy man's caramel apple, LOL. No sticks or dipping required. :)
