Food Lion Coupon Basics

Food Lion does not double coupons

They have no limits on number of coupons they will take, unless specified in the ad

BOGO items ring up at half price so if you only buy 1, it rings at half price. You can use a coupon on each BOGO sale item.

E-Coupons: You can now load RedPlum.com manufacturer’s coupons to your Food Lion MVP card and when they scan your card at the register and you buy the qualifying items, the discount will come off automatically. I spoke with corporate and they confirmed that these are manufacturer’s coupons and not to be combined with hard copy manufacturer’s from the newspaper and other sources. She said their policy is only 1 coupon per product. No e-coupons will double. Click HERE for more information.

Hope that helps!

nakabi: I've been buying wild-caught frozen salmon from Aldi regularly at $4.49/pound. Every now and then I'll buy it from Kroger, but actually like Aldi's salmon better.

If anyone is interested in sardines, Aldi has tins of sardines for under $1 (89 cents if I remember correctly). I'll stir a tin of sardines in mustard sauce in with 2 or 3 srambled eggs while they're cooking for an omega-3 boost at breakfast. :)

nakabi, I'm not Faye but my 2 cents on the salmon price is that it depends. Farm raised salmon is usually cheaper, but it's also lower in Omega-3s (it has to do with how Omega-3s build up in the salmon based on what they eat, farmed salmon eat a lot of corn, not a high Omega-3 diet), so *I* won't pay as much for farm raised salmon as I will for wild caught. The sale price I get excited by when shopping for wild caught is $5.99/lb or less. $4.99/lb for farm raised is an OK price IMNSHO.

Faye, you are on the ball lady!

Could you also post your link for this weeks shoppers companion coupons? I know I wont get mine.

Faye-is the $4.99/pound a good price for the salmon? I'm just about out of salmon (my almost 3 year old loves it with couscous and broccoli) so I do need to stock up.
