Harris Teeter deals: Gas card promo, eggs, sweet potatoes & more!

Posted August 22, 2012

Harris Teeter has a number of great deals this week including eggs for 34 cents per dozen, FREE Chex Mix, a new General Mills gas card promotion and much more!

These deals are valid 8/22 - 8/28.

Harris Teeter Coupon Policy Basics:

Doubles coupons .99 or less everyday

Doubles up to 20 coupons per day

Doubles up to 3 identical coupons (must have required product to go with each coupon)

BOGO sales ring up at half price. If you just buy one, it still rings up at half price. The policy has recently changed and now states that you can only use two coupons on a BOGO deal. So, if you buy 2 items that are BOGO, you can use two coupons (which is a very good thing!).

Click HERE for the official Harris Teeter Coupon Policy.

Senior discount: Seniors 60 and older receive a 5% discount every Thursday. Discount applies after coupons are deducted.

e-coupons: Don’t forget to add the e-coupons to your Harris Teeter VIC card and remember, you can stack the e-coupons with manufacturer coupons to maximize savings. The link to your e-coupons are in your Wednesday e-Vic e-mail. Click HERE to sign up for e-Vic digital coupons.

General Mills promotion: Buy $30 worth of select General Mills products between 8/22 and 8/28/2012 and receive a code at the register that is valid for a $10 gas card. Once you get the code, go to
https://www.stockupfuelup.com/ and enter the code before 10/31 and choose your prefered gas retailer. You will then receive your gas gift card by mail with about 6 weeks. Limit 1 per transaction, maximum of 5 per household. Purchases must be made in a single transaction. For a list of participating products and to enter your code, HERE.

Here is the participating list from the website and many of these are on sale this week with available coupons:

Any one else have a problem with it printing the gas card code? I did not get it at the HT on Rogers Road and customer service did not know anything about the promotion :(

  • amylou Aug 23, 1:50 p.m.

This is how my GM Fuel deal worked (all IPs are from www.bettycrocker.com):
    2 Chex Mix - 2 x $.60 IP - $.50 ZVR
    5 Fiber One Chewy bars - 2 x $.60 IP - 3 x $.50 MQ - $.50 ZVR
    4 Betty Crocker frosting - 2 x $.85/2 IP - $.75/2 ZVR
    5 Totinos pizzas - $1 ZVR - $1.10/5 IP
    1 Pillsbury biscuit sandwich - $.65 IP - $.55 ZVR
    Total = $14.52 - $3 Fiber One catalina - $10 gas card - $3.30 in Saving Star credits = $1.78 MM

genialynn-they ring up $1.67 each. Also buy one get one free items each ring at half price, so you don't have to buy both for those either.

  • KLW Aug 23, 12:25 p.m.

genialynn..they ring up $1.67 each unless the signage says otherwise.

  • amylou Aug 23, 11:56 a.m.

I scored big with the GM fuel promotion. There's a catalina printing for the Fiber One Chewy bars, Fiber One 90-Calorie Chewy bars, and Fiber One 90-Calorie Brownies: Buy 3, get $1 OYNO; Buy 4, get $2 OYNO; Buy 5 or more, get $3 OYNO. So I got the $10 gas card code and a $3 catalina to use later. That really sweetened this deal.

  • genialynn Aug 23, 11:56 a.m.

never couponed at HT before, today is my first. When an item is like 3 for $5, do I have to buy all 3, or do they ring up at 1.67 each?

Freschetta Pizza's are on sale again for $4.99. Don't forget to go get you $1 off coupon at freschetta.com. Can't beat getting these for $3.99!! This is my hubby's and my favorite pizza so we try to stock up when we find them on sale.

  • amylou Aug 23, 8:28 a.m.

I also have a $1/2 ZVR for Morningstar products, making them $1 each with the MQ. Sweet!

  • nakabi Aug 22, 7:06 p.m.

Faye-yes, that's a great price for the lamb chops! Normally I would buy them at Sams, but you can't beat this sale price...looks like I'll be stocking up! Lamb curry just might make it on the menu for next week :)

I use eggs past the date stamped on the container all the time. If I crack it open and it doesn't smell bad, then it's fine to use. Also I think there is something about floating/sinking a raw egg in a container of water to see if it is still ok. You can probably do a google search and find it.
