Kmart is offering a $25 Kmart gift card to Shop Your Way Rewards members when you transfer a prescription to their pharmacy.  Offer not valid in AL, AR, Guam, NJ, NY, MA, MS, OR, Puerto Rico or U.S. Virgin Islands or on prescriptions paid for in whole or in part by any government programs. You can see more information on the Kmart website.  This week's ad indicates to see the pharmacy for the coupon. It is not available to print from their website, so it looks like you pick it up at the pharmacy. When you call to transfer your prescription, verify that they have the coupon there so you receive the gift card.

Click HERE for more details on the Kmart website.

thanks, faye! i am thankful not to have many of those long-running scripts that i can transfer about. :)

That's good to know ssemicolony. Thanks!

j3434 - it's been a long time since I have seen a prescription promo for a new script. They all seem to be for transferred scripts.

I have had the pharmacist at Kroger on Six Forks advise me that the $25 transfer is always running, its just not always promoted. I would call before going, but I do it regularly. They just scan the $25 onto your Kroger card & it is instantly available.

does anyone know of any new rx q's anywhere at the moment? i think those days are probably long gone, but just in case...my allergist used up 4 rx pages for me today, 2 of which need filling right away. :) thanks!

Angles - do you write another blog? You post lots of criticism using different usernames and I am just curious which competing blog you write.

Angles - as Oxy pointed out, not every store with a pharmacy offers a prescription transfer bonus. The stores I have seen offering this type of bonus in the past include Target, Walgreens, Kroger, Rite Aid, CVS, Kmart, Harris Teeter. None of these stores offers this promotion all of the time. When Harris Teeter offers the promotion, it is usually a $20 gift card for people new to the pharmacy. They have offered a promotion where you could get the $20 for filling the same prescription up to 10 times (if you were a new pharmacy customer the first time you filled it).

When these bonus gift cards are available, I'll post them here on the blog so you know which stores are offering them. If you hear of any other current prescription transfer offers, post them here or in the Share the Deals section. $25 is the most the stores offer.

There was a coupon in the Walgreens ad this week for a $25 Walgreens card when you transfer a prescription to them. Expires 9/30/12. See ad for restrictions.

Angles, every store does not do this all the time, and $25 per prescription seems to be about the norm for how good the deal is. It's always good to hear when someone is advertising it too.

Doesn't every store do this if you transfer your prescriptions? I think Harris Teeter even gives you like $100 shopping card. I would tell readers just to call a store and ask their pharmacy department about their transfer special. I think a lot are much better than the Kmart deal.
