Well, I naively thought that once you hit 10 qualifying items any additional featured ones would also be 50 cents off. Did not expect another $5 for those 3, but customer service let me buy 7 more after the fact to get the discount. Kroger treats its shoppers well.

Guess Again....there's no guessing about it. Before you shop go ask customer service if you have questions. The mega 10 event clearly states that it is $5 off for 10 participating items. You have to BUY 10 to get the $5 off. I love it when Kroger has Mega 10 events - saved 70% off their already reasonable prices twice in the last 2 weekks. Got 40 items last week and 30 items this week plus meat and milk, cheese, etc.

The Kroger Mega Event subtracts $5.00 for EACH group of 10 participating items. Purchase of 11 through 19 items only qualifies for $5 off. Cashier enlightened me when I was curious about 3 items still at full price (no 50 cents off each). She said I would have had to buy 7 more to get another $5 off. Live and learn.

Faye it is the Kroger off of New Bern Ave, near Corporation. I hadn't heard of the change either so that's why I was asking. Thanks!

packgirl - which Kroger is it that will not let you use multiples of a printed coupon if you buy enough product to go with the coupon?

Lowes Foods is the same way - if a printable coupon won't scan, they won't take it.

Thanks for the Smart Balance info, gmjaime!

Great job on your savings, wyldbyrds! I was near Kroger twice last week so I did 2 groups of 10 items each time. We are well stocked on granola bars for the start of the school year in one week!

  • packgirl 96 Aug 20, 2012

I haven't read the whole Kroger coupon policy, but my Kroger will now only let you use 1 printed coupon for the same item. Also if they cannot get it to scan they will not accept it.

  • gmjaime Aug 19, 2012

Smart Balance Milk is also included... still had my 1.50 coupon so got it for 49 cents. I had a $1 coupon from Kroger for the Almond milk as well.

  • wyldbyrds Aug 19, 2012

Belated thanks for all your hard work with last week's promotion, Faye (looks like many of the same deals this week so thought okay to post here :-) )! I made 2 runs & saved 75% in the 1st, 70% in the 2nd (& that doesn't even include the Fiber One & Nature Valley cash Catalinas I got back!). Thanks again!!

Sorry about that, jkay - typo on my part. I just fixed it. Thanks!

    Pepperidge Farm Goldfish cr*ckers, .99 after discount - $1/2 Nabisco cr*ckers coupon from 8/5 ?

Why would a Nabisco coupon work for Pepperidge Farm?
Pepperidge Farm is a subsidiary of Campbell Soup Co unless something has changed recently?
