Mega Swagbucks Friday AND new way to earn!

Posted August 17, 2012

It is Mega Swagbucks Friday and today is the day they award larger than normal Swagbucks just for using the Swagbucks site when you search for information on the Internet. If you are not signed up for Swagbucks, you should be! It's a super easy way to earn giftcards to places like CVS, Starbucks and Amazon.com.

New Way to Earn!

Starting Tuesday, Aug 21st, you can earn Swagbucks by watching the latest episodes of original Swagbucks videos including Swag Gab and Office Wars.  Just as you can earn Swag Bucks from watching videos on entertainment, food, music, tech and more, you'll also be able to fill your SBTV meter by viewing the lastest episodes of their original videos made by Team Swagbucks.  The Olympics video the Swagbucks Team members made a few weeks ago was hysterical! Click HERE for a trailer video on the new earning option.

New to Swagbucks?

How do you get these super Swagbucks? Each time you need to search for something online, use the Swagbucks search engine (instead of Google, for instance).  I actually have the Swag Bucks toolbar installed on my desktop and it places a search box right on my screen making it super easy to search.  There are also a number of other ways to earn Swag Bucks including taking surveys, answering polls, watching videos and more.

If you are on Twitter or Facebook, Swagbucks also posts links to codes that will earn you additional Swag Bucks. Once you click the link they give you and find the code (they will tell you how to find it) you then copy and paste the code into the "Gimme" box on the homepage of Swagbucks HERE. The Gimme box is on the right side of the page under the My Account section where it indicates: Enter your Swag Code.

You are welcome to post links to where these awesome codes codes are located, like their Facebook page or the Swagbucks Twitter page or the Swagbucks blog, but do NOT post the actual codes.  Feel free to post the location of codes in the Comments section of this post or in the Share the Deals section here on the blog each day but again, please do not post the actual Swag Bucks code. That's against Swagbucks policy.

If you are new to Swagbucks, I bet you are wondering what you do with the Swagbucks points you earn. They can be cashed in for gift cards, books, magazines, movies and much more! I usually cash mine in for CVS or Amazon.com gift cards. A $5 Amazon gift card code is only 450 Swag Bucks and a $5 Starbucks gift card is 635 Swag Bucks.  It's such an easy way to score some freebies while doing the same searches you already do.

It's free to sign up for Swagbucks and only takes a minute. New members get 30 Swagbucks when you sign up HERE.

I should have put "Swagbucks that offer credit" in quotes!

  • HappyGirl08 Aug 17, 2012

I just got 14 more. Score! Now if I can just make it to the weekend. :-)

I am a Swaggaholic! I get the 5 amazon gift cards first every month. I just ordered a Walmart 50 dollar gift card. It is an e-card but when you get it you can order a gift card and use it in the store for groceries or whatever you like. There is a wonderful Facebook page that has helped me tremendously. It's called Swagbucks that offer credit. When people are successful they post it. HTH.

Thanks for the info, Faye. The e-gift cards don't sound too complicated. I did see that some of them require a smart phone, but I guess if it doesn't specifically say that, a print-out is fine.

When you say do a search, are you doing a search from their website in the search box or is there a toolbar or something to download. I can't really download toolbars on my work computer and that's where most of my searches are from.

Wow - I guess I need to do some searches this morning! COngrats on the high SB's!

thewayitis - I get the e-gift cards for CVS and once your gift card is ready, they send you an e-mail (just like they do with the Amazon ones). Then you click the link to go to the gift card. Print it out and bring it into the store with you. At CVS, they scan the gift card and it takes off the total of your purchase. You don't have to use the whole thing in one transaction. Sometimes the bar code doesn't scan on the coupon so they have to enter it manually. Be aware that not all of the e-gift cards can be used in stores. Some are only for online purchases. The CVS one can be used in stores though. The description will indicate if it can be used in both online and in-store or only online.

I got 29 for a search this morning. I've been having mostly low ones lately, so that was definitely a treat.

I've been using my points for Amazon gift cards, but I earn more points a month than I can use on the $5 gift cards. What else is a good deal? And how do the e-gift cards work at brick and mortar businesses? I've been nervous about trying them.

I got a 27 as well. It was a pleasant surprise. Just finished meeting my daily goal so anything else is bonus for the day.

I got 27 SBs on my first search this morning! :-)
