Makes perfect sense ddalams. I thought it was interesting that they suggested doing 2 separate transactions and using 3 coupons each time. I figured that was "working the system" and I didn't want to cheat and do that and clear the shelves. Next time I will get a rain check every day the item is out of stock.

hhall: This is why SmartShoppers have recommended getting a rain check for an out of stock item *each* time you shop. Think of it this way: if you have 3 coupons and would have bought 3 of the item had it been in stock, you would likely have used the 3 coupons in one transaction. If you had 6 coupons you still would likely only have used 3 in one transaction, since that is HT coupon policy, but you might have returned another day during the sale to use the next 3 coupons with the sale price. So with rainchecks later substituting for the sale price, it is ideal to have a separate raincheck to use with each set of 3 coupons.

Thanks carelesswhisper It is good to know that when you use one you forfeit whatever you don't purchase at the time of the original rain check.

hhall, I had a raincheck for Chinet plates BOGO. It was written for (4), but I only had 2 coupons. I had to forfeit the other 2 in order to use it.

Quick question for anyone who is familiar with the HT rain checks. I used a rain check yesterday to purchase the smart balance milk. I always ask for the max number that they will write for with the rain checks, so my rain check was for a total of 6. I know I can only use 3 coupons but the cashier said that I forfeit the rest of the smart balance milk if I don't use what the number is on the rain check. How do others handle this? The HT said I could get back in line and use more coupons but that is against their policy to use more than 3 like coupons so I didn't want to do that.

dkg - I have used the stone both ways with no issues - pre-heated and not pre-heated. When I use the HT dough, I roll the dough right on to the pizza stone and do not pre-heat the stone first.

darn, well it was good while it lasted. I didn't think it would last long with that price.

I thought you were supposed to leave your stone in the oven and let it heat before putting your pizza on it?

Thanks for all the help on the pizza questions. I'm going to grab a few of those pizza doughs from HT and try it out this week!
