As most of you know, I am very excited that we have a large family event all weekend and I am the host! This means that I'll be consumed with uber time-consuming host stuff through Sunday. :-)

I'll still be blogging a little, but I won't have time for the Just the Basics, Thursday Thoughts, Friday Freebies or Drug Store deals posts this week. I'll still post the Retail Coupons, Friday HT and Lowes deal posts and the daily Share the Deals post. Kroger deals will be posted on Monday.

jdouglas13-I think it is 1 point per $1 for the rewards, but can't quite remember (because the credit card points are different and I might get them mixed up). But every quarter with the rewards certificate, they send coupons for products you have previously bought with your card and there is also always a "double points" coupon that gives you double point when you spend over a certain amount in the transaction. Hollyh515, I will definitely let you know when I go. :) I have to wait at least 6 weeks (so says the one who turned me purple), since my hair at this point is so overprocessed that if I do anything else to it, it will fall out! Although, the way my hair looks, a very short cut has been looking really good.

smolder13,thanks for the info about the Kroger rewards! Do they reward you 1 point for every $1 spent or do they have other ways of earning?

Kat7232, I found both tampax and always at the Cameron Village store at lunchtime yesterday. Has anyone seen the Keri lotion in Raleigh. I have 3qs I'd like to use. Made two trips yesterday and paid 32cents out of pocket. Love SD!

hollyjenkins - LOL ... it never gets old. My kids have started looking in the cabinets and refrigerator to see what shows up. :)

hollyjenkins - thanks for the info on the Cadbury coupon! No ZVRs for it, but at least the coupon, doubled, brings it down to almost half-price. :)

prisskat -- that is too bad you had that exprienc with the lotion. I forgot to give HT three coupons yesterday and went back today with the items and coupons to return/repurchase, and all they did was ring up the coupons and give me cash. It was the store on Spring Forest and Falls of Neuse.

DianeNC -- the "Cadbury coupon" is the Blue Bunny link that Faye has in the HT Super Doubles thred. It's Cadbury chocolate covered with vanilla Blue Bunny ice cream. Not sure why I got two ZVRs . . .

LaxMom12 -- I didn't tell my son how much I paid . . . he had asked for them earlier in the week and I said, "we'll see." Then today I got to be a hero: "Remember when you asked for those ice cream bars? Go look in the freezer." He was very happy!

FYI - I found the "Start School Like a Champion" Kellogg's coupon booklets at the Food Lion at 40/42 abotu an hour ago. They still had a good amount of them left. They are located in a big display near the chips and beer. There are coupons worth a total of $15 inside and they all require the purchase of multiple items like $1/2 Keebler granola fudge bars or save $1.50 on fruit when you purchase 2 select Kellogg's cereals. The coupons all expire September 30th.
