Harris Teeter Super Doubles ad and deals AND brag thread!

Posted August 8, 2012

The big news at Harris Teeter this week is that they are offering their Super Doubles event!  They are doubling coupons that are $2 or less so a $2 coupon doubles to $4.00!

There are a ton of great deals this week with this promotion including many that are fantastic when you combine a manufacturer's coupon from the paper or from a printable website AND a Harris Teeter digital e-coupon (also known as a ZVR)!  Read on for the deals from the ad and then an additional list of deals not in the ad. Please post any other deals you find!

These deals are valid 8/8 – 8/14. The Super Doubles coupon policy can be found at the bottom of the list. Good luck and have fun!

Coupon policy during Super Doubles:

* HT will be Super Doubling coupons worth up to $2 face value. This means that a $1.50 coupon will double to $3.00, $1.00 coupon will double to $2.00 and a $2.00 coupon will double to $4.00! Remember that not all coupons will double. If the coupon indicates Do Not Double or DND, your Harris Teeter may not double it.

* HT begins super doubling coupons at 7:00 AM on the first day of the sale. 24 hour stores do not super double coupons before 7:00 AM on the first day (at least that is how it has always worked in the past).

* HT will super double/double up to 20 coupons per household per day. Spouse's cards registered with the same address are linked because the policy is 20 per household, per day. If you have twenty $1 coupons and twenty .75 coupons, only 20 total will double. They will not double 20 coupons that are under $1 and also super double another 20 coupons that are over $1. It's 20 total coupons doubled per day.

* HT policy is to double up to 3 identical coupons (as long as you buy the product required for each coupon, of course). So, if you have five $1.00 coupons for a product, the policy is to only super double the first three.

Click HERE for the official Harris Teeter Coupon Policy.

Senior discount: Seniors 60 and older receive a 5% discount every Thursday. Discount applies after coupons are deducted.

e-coupons: Don’t forget to add the e-coupons to your Harris Teeter VIC card and remember, you can stack the e-coupons with manufacturer coupons to maximize savings. The link to your e-coupons are in your Wednesday e-Vic e-mail. Click HERE to sign up for e-Vic digital coupons.

libbyk-I think something was programmed wrong with the Wholly Guac, because I went back with that last Q and bought just one guac and it doubled it to $1.39 like it should have for the others. HT's policy is that you can use 1 Q for each item of a BOGO sale because they ring up at half price. Not sure why this happened this way with the guac.

  • Dr D Aug 14, 2012

libbyk: Thanks for the explanation about how the Wholly Qs worked with the BOGO sale. I finally found some guac in stock over the weekend, and had the same experience as smolder13 noted: three $1 Qs but the register would only accept two of them. I too expected to get all 3 free, but am NOT complaining about paying 17 cents for them - yummy stuff!

  • libbyk Aug 14, 2012

smolder13, I had the same thing happen with the Wholly Guacamole. Evidently, you can only use the coupon for the "buy 1". I had 3 coupons, so I could buy 3 and get 3 free.

  • smolder13 Aug 13, 2012

Hkidd-the 20 coupons is just paper ones, the ZVR's do not count toward your total.

  • Hkidd Aug 13, 2012

Do the ZVR coupons count as part of your 20 coupons per day? I was hoping the 20 coupons per day is referring to just paper coupons? Thanks

  • smolder13 Aug 13, 2012

I got 3 Wholly Guacamole (the 7 oz., BOGO for $1.39) and tried to use 3 $1 coupons, expecting that each coupon would just double to $1.39 to cover the cost of the item. Instead, it doubled 2 of the $1 Q's to $2 each and wouldn't allow me to use the third. The total of the items was 4.17 (1.39x3) and the 2 $1 Q's took $4 off, leaving me to pay the remaining .17 (not that I am complaining about this deal!) But has anyone else had this happen? The CS manager that the cashier called over when the coupon wouldn't scan said I would have had to buy a 4th guac to use that 3rd Q. Was the computer just programmed wrong for this item?

I have been really happy with Harris Teeter deals so far. I've gone twice. The first time, I ended up getting many boxes of nature's path organic and fiber plus nutty granola bars, kashi bars, 5 pkgs of craisins, 4 bottles of Healthy Balance juice, 3 cans of black beans, a kind bar, 2 bags of rice works chips, 3 zone bars, 2 pkgs of ground chicken, fresh wild caught cod, 2 Sambazon organic juices, 2 wholly guacamoles, a jamba smoothie, 2 pkgs of al fresco chicken sausage. Spent $34.22. Save $80.16. 70% savings on GOOD food!

  • creationstation3 Aug 11, 2012

smolder13...They have always let me use a BOGO and $ off coupon on the item I technically bought. i asked CS before I did it the first time to make sure I was not going against HT policy. They said it is not against their poilicy, and I've done it many times since then. This is my first time with an internet printable BOGO. Just saw your other post. I found it on coupons.com.
