I second that Nakabi...Last weekend at the farmer's market I was able to get a FLAT of 'seconds' for 4.00...used the most ripe ones for a cobbler...the rest of them are in fine shape, just smaller...and the FLAVOR...I'm going to turn into a peach LOL!

At Food Lion today I got coupons at the kiosk for $1 off any variety frozen potatoes and 75 cents off shredded cheese. With sales that made the tater tots $.96 and the cheese $1.25. I was pretty happy. :)

dkg0502-the peaches at the FM aren't that much cheaper, if any, but they taste soooo much better! To me, they are worth it!

Has anyone been by the farmers market lately in Raleigh? I want to can peaches this weekend and was wondering if I could get them even cheaper there rather than the .77/lb. at Lowes.

The Harris Teeter at Western Blvd and Buck Jones Rd, has some great markdowns in the carts at the front of the store. Items such as: Health/Beauty Products and food items, they are worth checking out if you are in the area.

Bklyn2Raleigh, I am pretty happy with the Kroger at Creedmoor and Strickland. I would recommend trying that one.

I used to be a Kroger shopper but have to say that the past 2 times I have been to the one on Falls & Strickland I was very disappointed. They are always out of stuff, the store always looks grungy, and much of the staff have a bad attitude (with the exception of a few of my favorite cashiers). I think I am just about done with them. I may give the one on Creedmor a try to see. anyone else have similar experiences?
