IRAZZO. Does anyone know if this is legit? I see a code on the sc-s website and was thinking about joining.

jzka23vzka, Jerry Butler is the guy I found in charge of it. http://www.ncagr.gov/standard/Measure/

I also found this article: http://www.usatoday.com/money/economy/2008 -04-26-616805061_x.htm (remove space)

It could be the "check valve" is wore out on the pump. It seems others (in the article) were having similar experiences to yours and that is what was causing the problem.

what time of day are you getting gas. early morning and late afternoon are the best time time to fill up. the hot weather tends to turn gas into vapors. the pumps at kroger are checked every other months.

That's an awesome deal on the sanitizer, North Raleigh Dad! Thanks for sharing it!

Hi Everyone, Found a pretty good deal on the small (0.5oz) bottles of Purell hand sanitizer at Office Max. .10 each for the first 6, then .49 each. There is a coupon for 1.00 off 3 (I did not see any size restrictions) here http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?bt=vi&tqnm=yjxjalx58128595&o=94136&c=PR&p=Q6hXax1V.

7 bottles = 1.09 less 1.00 coupon = 7 bottles for .09 !

littanybreigh and 1LloydChristmas...thank you for the ideas.

I did a quick search for fuel pump regulations and my findings reveal that all of NC pumps are regulated by 1 man...this must be incorrect. I don't have much time to devote to this, but I'll see what I can find out later this week.

buffhome2- you are so lucky.... wish HT would come to henderson.

jzka23vzka- It's more likely the pumps there just have a less sensitive trigger. Where as your pump at other stations may stop when you start to get full, there they may actually stop only when you actually get full.

I'm pretty sure they check the calibrations on the pumps pretty regularly and there's huge fines if the inspectors catch them off.

If you really think the pumps are off take a gallon jug to a pump you think is correct, put exactly 1 gallon of gas in the jug. Mark the jug with a marker then put the gas in your gas tank. Then go to the suspect pump and put exactly 1 gallon of gas in it. Compare it to the line from the previous gallon. If it's 10-15% less, it should be noticeable.

jzka23vzka - if that is the case, you should file a complaint with a consumer advocacy organization. That is exactly the kind of lawsuit they love to pursue AND it would be relatively easy to prove with the right equipment.

SIMILAC ALERT - For the person looking for Similac a couple of days ago there were several dozen 13 oz cans at the Ht on Creedmore Rd at Stonehenge Shopping Ctr. They were marked down to @ 2.25 per can and were on a rack behind the register nearest the produce section. A couple of qt size were there as well, lots of variety too. They were there at 3:30 Sat afternoon
