That is such a good deal, djoyner! I sure wish the Kroger was closer. I can't justify the gas to go there for the eggs. Thanks for sharing.

Here's an e-mail I received from Ashley today:

"Hey Faye. Just left Kroger at north pointe in Durham and they had Kroger eggs marked down to $0.69. Some dates were 7/9/12 and 7/12/12. I didn't get any but I did notice them. Whole bunch of them. Also they were out of 2% milk but the guy said he was waiting on the truck to come soon."

Kroger in garner has a dozen eggs kroger brand marked at .50 each. this was the sale price today.

My hubby paid .53 cents today for three 12 packs of Diet Coke at CVS..he used our $4.50 in Extra Bucks plus my $3.00 Extra Buck Happy Birthday coupon! He was beside himself with "his" great deal!! We think there was a slight mistake in the total...since the coupons only equaled $7.50...but the cashier assured him it was correct....

Just came for the 40/42 Walmart and they price matched the milk deal from Kroger for me. Cashier asked what brand was on sale from Kroger and when I said store brand she gave me Walmart's store brand milk for $1.99 each. I purchased two. So it depends on the cashier.

Don't know if it has been posted but this Friday Starbucks is giving away a tall refresher drink from 12- 3 pm

Walmart @ 40/42 would not price match the Kroger deal on milk or the eggs. At least the cashier I went to wouldn't, but this is the second time this has happened to me there in the last few weeks.

It seems like as far as Walmart PM store brands, it may very well depend on the store, the manager, and even the cashier. I know that the Walmart I use (Briar Creek) DOES PM store brand milk. I have done this many many times there on milk. Last night they were out of Great Value non fat milk, so I took one of the Maola brand gallons prepared to ask if they substituted since they were out of GV. I had the Kroger ad (I know you are not supposed to have to take it for proof, but I always do just in case) and they matched with no problem at all. Never even questioned the brand. I have not tried to pm any items other than milk when it comes to store brands. It's a shame that all WM's do not have and stick to the same policy, but they don't.

This is one of my worst pet peeves. I don't know if others have the same issue or not. I bought a 1/2 gallon of milk and a 1/2 gallon of half & half at FL last night and they bagged them in the same bag! That could easily tear the bag, which mine almost did, not to mention the fact that it's heavy. Why do they bag heavy things together? They will do it if you have 2 2-liters of a soft drink too. If I was a cashier/bagger, I wouldn't do that. Sorry, just had to get that off my shoulders. :)

the Walmart on New Hope Church Rd won't price match Aldi produce since they consider them a "warehouse". This policy changes per store since each store is run by a different store manager, or so I was told. Frustrating since I expect each store to have the same policy.
