Thanks Littany :) I don't often get to Durham, but I'll look around and see if I find the rebates in the HTs closer to home.

Sarah, there is a good deal on the N&O website for extra Sunday papers for $1 each. You chose how many extra you want each week - up to 9 - but you do have to keep a current regular subscription to get the deal. https://secure.newsobserver.com/sso/forms/extra_sundays/current_subscribers.html

New beer rebates spotted at the Smithfield FL:

$4 off $8 worth of charcoal $5 off $10 worth of buns and condiments $8 off 8 pc of fried chicken

All were located on displays on either end of the beer aisle.

Sorry if someone has asked this recently...any good discount codes for Sunday only delivery of the N&O? Our subscription is about to expire. Thanks much!!

Jdouglas - 23 years and 5 days is quite an accomplishment! That's great! Fortunately, it is illegal in NC to require purchasing an alcoholic beverage in order to get a rebate, so no, you don't have to buy the beer. In fact, the only exclusion on this rebate is that the $50 cannot include alcohol.

It was the HT off of Horton Rd. in Durham, but I think they're at some other HTs. I saw someone post about them here a couple months ago, so I had been hoping they'd come to my store. I'll be back there later this week (it's like my second home) to see if the display is still there. It was a little tear pad in front of the Coors that was in the cooler, adjacent to a bigger Coors display. I picked up the rebates on Saturday.

Littany, I may be sorry for asking this, but which HT had those rebates? Did you have to buy beer to get the rebate? I quit drinking a while back... 23 years and 5 days to be exact in case there are any other friends of Bill around ;), so I don't want to buy something I won't use.

Is anyone else having trouble printing RedPlum coupons this afternoon? I've been trying from 2 different computer systems, and no go. It's making me crazy!! There are a couple of coupons I really want to print!

I transferred my prescription to WG for the gift card incentive. When I went to pickup the prescription and gave the person the coupon, I was told that I could not get the gift card because I was a government employee. I explained to them that the coupon states that federal employees, and those on federal programs could not use the coupon. They told me that they considered state employees the same and that they could not override the system. I told them that I would speak to the Store Manager when I came inside. In the end the manager apologized and gave me a gift card.

I later called the WG corporate office to complain, and they told me that the system says all government employees. Again, I referred back to the coupon, and they said it was a PR issue. I told the customer service rep that it was a WG national issue, and that they would have to honor the coupon to everyone that is not receiving federal benefits. She told me she would pass the information to the higher ups. Really?

Oh my goodness - a bunch of you smart shoppers were as excited about those Coors rebates as I was (I posted about them yesterday). I will go back to HT to see if I can snag anymore without looking like one of those people who takes the whole tear pad!

As a former bureaucrat, and home schooling Mom, I LOVE office supplies!

Last year I donated a bunch of stuff to one of my daughter's teachers (I only homeschool the ones that want it), and the teacher gave me a really nice thank you card. I kind of felt bad because the cost of the card was more than I paid for the BAGS and BAGS of stuff I gave her. :D
