I cannot think of a better time to go ice skating than right NOW! With temps well above 100 degrees, Polar Ice House is rolling out their Beat the Heat promotion with a cool BOGO offer. Here are the details:

Polar Ice House locations in Cary, Garner and Wake Forest are excited to announce their third annual ‘Beat the Heat’ promotion where Triangle residents can ice skate, cool down and escape the heat.

Starting Saturday, June 30, each day the temperature rises above 95 degrees, all three Polar Ice House locations will offer an exclusive “Buy One, Get One Free Admission."

Customers can receive the offer by mentioning the temperature at the register at one of the three Triangle locations. Click HERE for their website.

Although I can actually ice skate, I would be happy to just go lay out in the middle of the rink to keep cool this weekend!

What a clever idea! Though the last time I recall ice skating was when I was a teenager in the 70s. Not sure if I can still do it! Thanks Faye for the info.

Tempting, Faye... very tempting, but I don't skate at all and I don't think they'll let me on the ice with either my cane or my walker! LOL Wouldn't mind going there just to sit for a while though. Maybe I can slide out onto the ice on my derriere. No skate rental needed ;)
