Mega Swagbucks Friday!

It is Mega Swagbucks Friday and today is the day they award larger than normal Swagbucks just for using the Swagbucks site when you search for information on the Internet. If you are not signed up for Swagbucks, you should be! It's a super easy way to earn giftcards to places like CVS, Starbucks and Amazon.com.

New to Swagbucks?

How do you get these super Swagbucks? Each time you need to search for something online, use the Swagbucks search engine (instead of Google, for instance). I actually have the Swag Bucks toolbar installed on my desktop and it places a search box right on my screen making it super easy to search. There are also a number of other ways to earn Swag Bucks including taking surveys, answering polls, watching videos and more.

If you are on Twitter or Facebook, Swagbucks also posts links to codes that will earn you additional Swag Bucks. Once you click the link they give you and find the code (they will tell you how to find it) you then copy and paste the code into the "Gimme" box on the homepage of Swagbucks HERE. The Gimme box is on the right side of the page under the My Account section where it indicates: Enter your Swag Code.

You are welcome to post links to these awesome codes (but NOT the actual codes) in the Comments section of this post or in the Share the Deals section here on the blog each day but please DO NOT post the actual Swag Bucks code. That's against Swagbucks policy. You are more than welcome to post the link to the Swagbucks page that shows the code though.

If you are new to Swagbucks, I bet you are wondering what you do with the Swagbucks points you earn. They can be cashed in for gift cards, books, magazines, movies and much more! I was a huge swagbucks user/fan until this past week - after claiming 2 prizes, earning over 13,000 swagbucks, they deactivated my account and said I had multiple accounts (which is completely untrue). I only have 1 account registered, never had another.

I figured it was a mistake, so I emailed the company, I received a email back the next day saying the same exact thing [multiple accounts] and they refused to reactivate. I have 3,000+ swagbucks on my account, and have done nothing wrong. I noticed from searching this seems to be a common theme with them, deactivating accounts without cause and saying the user has multiple accounts. There is no customer service number to call, just an email. They have not responded to my email back

Im going to be filling a complaint with BBB this evening since I have done nothing wrong - I feel ripped off. Just a user beware - I always thought it was too good to be true, then they sold me once I earned my first prize. Now I see the scam they do.....

How odd, realstory. Do you search for Swagbucks using the same account on multiple computers?

WITH THE SWAGBUCKS TV ARE YOU GUYS HAVING TO FILL OUT THE CAPTCHA (WHERE YOU HAVE TO FILL OUT THE LETTERS? I'M HAVING TO DO THAT. WHAT A PAIN. NOT ONLY THAT BUT I HAVE FAT FINGERS SO I HIT BUTTONS I DON'T KNOW WHAT I HIT AND LOOSE THE CHANCE FOR MY 3 POINTS. IT'S DOING THE SAME THING FOR MY SISTER(WHO USES MY COMPUTER QUITE A BIT). I HOPE IT'S NOT FLAGGING ME TO TELL ME I HAVE MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS LIKE REALSTORY. (I KNOW SHE WASN'T FLAGGED AND THEY DEACTIVATED HER ACCOUNT FOR NO REASON).

NY Yankee - I have to fill out the captcha all the time. It's happening to everyone according to the posts on their Facebook page. Kind of a pain, but worth the points.

Well, I have to say that this did happen to me and my mom last month. In my case, they said I had multiple accounts and in her case they said she was using a search bot. We thought that was hysterical since I'm only somewhat familiar with what that is and she never heard of it. ha! Anyway, they reactivated me, but did not reactivate her. I guess I was lucky. I explained that she sometimes used my computer on her account when she was at my home, but that I did not have multiple accounts.

At any rate, I'm not sure what triggered that but I've read of many instances lately on their FB page and on another blog I read on FB related to SB. Some folks get their accounts back, some do not. I do not plan on rocking the boat as they say since I do not want to be cut off again!

I use swagbucks on my work laptop, my smart phone and my ipad. I have 3000 points. I think I'm going to cash them in just so I don't loose them. I wanted to wait to get a $50 card but that will just make me mad if it happens then.

Well, I use my laptop, ipad, iphone and work computer. I think that is ok. I am hoping that the issue may have been that my computer was being used by someone else on their account. (my mom) Perhaps they read the IP address or something and thought I was trying to pull a fast one. Who knows.

Well, good luck. It takes them a while to credit the GC once you order them. You might not get to run very quickly. haha The other bit of good news for me was that when they reactivated my account, I got all the SB I had in the bank and the GC I had on order. I didn't have to start from scratch again.

So...looking at all the giftcards available, most say they aren't affiliated with the actual company that they say they are for. Have you had any issues? The only one that I found that didn't say that was Fandango.
