FREE Chick-fil-A meal at Cow Appreciation Day!

It is time for the annual Chick-fil-A Cow Appreciation Day! You can score a FREE full meal but there is a little something you have to do to get the freebie.......

On July 13, get a FREE meal at your local Chick-fil-A if you come to the restaurant fully dressed like a cow, from head to toe. Kids who come fully dressed like a cow can request a kids meal. Those dressed partially as cows (not head to toe) get a free entrée.

We did this a few years ago and used white clothes and taped black spots to them and then used rope as the tail and made construction paper ears taped to a headband. Very cute, very funny, very frugal and very yummy FREE meals for me and the kids!

Oh, well, rk, nobody is making you go. Besides that, there are non-fried items and plenty of salads to choose from, it's not like some of the really greasy places like burger whatsit.

Some of the folks I've saw eating at Chik-Fila-A seem like they are already 'suited up', they just need some spots on them. LOL. Just kidding around :)

My family has done several frugal costumes for this wonderful free meal. Last year we took a black trash bag and cut out holes for the head and arms and adorned the bag with colorful spots. We attached the tail from the starter kit to the backside of our bag. We also wore sunvisors that we attached the ears from the starter kit! The costumes were a big hit! Can't wait for this year!

Last year they had a sheet on the chickfila website that you could print and use for the costume. I'd bet it's on there again. It doesn't get much more frugal than cutting it off a sheet of printer paper. Cant remember for sure... I think it was ears, nose and some spots that you can just tape on. We looked much sillier than the other cows but a free sandwich was worth it. The crowd... definitely not worth that mess again.
