New Carlie C's IGA opening in Garner on Wednesday!

There's a new Carlie C's IGA grocery store coming to Garner on Wednesday and they have some great opening week events including free groceries for the first 400 people in the door, the Goodness Grows Giant Cart, Nascar Simulator, product samples and more! Click HERE for their company website.

Opening date: Wednesday, June 6th, 2012

Time: Store opens at 9:00AM

Store location: 1514 Garner Station Blvd, Raleigh, NC 27603 (old Winn-Dixie Building)

Schedule of events listed on their website:

June 6: Free product coupons for select groceries for the first 400 people in the door on Wednesday morning! According to the PR person, there are 16 coupons and they are all for free products! WOW!

June 6: Goodness Grows Giant Cart and from 12 - 4 pm, they will be sampling Front Porch ice cream

June 9: Coca Cola Refresh Crew (11AM - 4PM) includes Nascar Simulator, Video trailer and more.

June 9: Monster Energy Drink Monster Truck and product sampling (11:30AM - 1:30PM)

June 12: Pepsi & WQDR Live Remote (4PM - 6PM)

You can also register to win milk for a month, ice cream for a month, pop up tent, bicycle, washer & dryer and more!

There are some impressive opening week specials at the Garner store valid through June 10th:

Coke products, 2 ltr, .69 - great deal!

IGA soft drinks, .69 each

IGA peanut butter, 18 oz., creamy or crunchy, $1.50 - a good deal for PB these days

Assorted pork chops, family pack, $1.68/lb

The store's normal hours of operation are:

Monday - Saturday: 7 AM - 10 PM

Sunday: 8 AM - 9 PM

Coupon Policy

Basically, they don't double coupons and they will accept 4 coupons for 4 of the same item. If you have 5 of the same coupon and buy 5 of the item, they will accept 4 of the coupons and not the fifth one. For the full coupon policy, click HERE.

Carlie C's is based in Dunn, NC and has 15 stores in North Carolina including locations in Durham, Fayetteville, Benson, Goldsboro and more.

Thanks to everyone for your feedback on the new store. It sounds like it was an adventure. Sad to hear shoppers were rude to each other. Good to hear the employees handled the chaos well. I will definitely be stalking their sales flyer and looking to see what competitive deals they offer.

Carlie C's is GREAT! They offer the BEST meats around and Garner is soooooo lucky to have this new store! Congratulations!

I got in line at 8am this morning and was out at 10am. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The crowd was a bit overwhelming - and worded as nicely as possible - less than polite. The staff still seemed to remain calm and friendly when being pulled in twenty directions. An employee insisted on carrying my groceries out for me since they ran out of carts, and I saw them doing this for everyone without one. I was not parked close, so I appreciated that extra effort. I'm grateful for the freebies I got because we can really make use of them. However, I've been spoiled I think by the early morning couponers I see at Harris Teeter and Lowes who are respectful and nice during events. I was impressed that the store was able to handle such a crowd, but I was really disappointed how rude and disrespectful a lot of the customers were being. It was hard to get a good overall feel of the store, so I'll have to go back.

Welcome Carlie C's I was there this morning and all the staff at Carlie C's were great! They were awesome. Of course I wish I could say that for some of the shoppers that were there.Some showed their IQ and it was below 10. But hey I got my 9 layer chocolate cake that has had my mouth watering every time I see their commercial. And it is better than described. Just like grandma's.

got on line at 8;45, was about # 300. finally left the store at 12;00......wow, got some stuff besides all the freebies except the ice, would melt by the time i got home) Mahatma rice, gal oj, gal fruit punch, grated cheese, individual wise chips and pork rinds, 1 lb sausage, 6 pack water, iga margarine, flour tortillas, cheese and pretzel dippers, hot dog buns, 1 gatorade 32 oz, & 1 honey bun, also Garland Jack bbq sauce had a coupon attached which made them 25 cents each....no more coupons left on those, mgr said they didn't send enough, he was taping them on each bottle. Good thing was that the free stuff was in the middle of the side and back aisles and each one had an employee handing them out. Lines were terribly long!!!! No carts available, I had to play my disabled card to get one and I am big time hurting now from standing sooooo looooong.... it was good for the free stuff, but will probably never do that again!!

Just got the freebies today...there were no shopping cart's and I was towing my 22 month old little girl...total was $25.82 but after 16 free coupons I spent $0.00.
