Thanks, HighSpirits! :) I'll have to take a ride over there one of these days.

Jdouglas13, Lafayette Village is where 540 hits Falls of Neuse (south of 540, closer to the Beltline).

If you look in the rite aid circular, you will find a manufacturers coupon for $1.50 for Neutregena products. Stack that with a target coupon for Neutregena for $2.00. I got 27 facial wipes that were on sale for $4.97 for $1.47. I am sure you can find even better deals, but I love those facial wipes!!

Delarosaconsulting I was in Burlington area but she said all Dollar Tree stores should carry them :)

Faye, thank you and thank you :) Looks like I just missed the FB coupon, but I sent McCains a lovely email, so we'll see if I get anything from it. Can't wait to check out the herb companion! Great idea about herb vinegar... oh my gosh, I used to make that. I used to make it. Couldn't be easier. And the results make the most amazing herb vinegar that would cost you $20 in the store.

Don't forget homemade pesto too. If you don't have enough basil, supplement it with a some fresh flat leaf parsley (usually $0.79 - 0.99 at Kroger). Put all the herbs in the food processor, throw in a few cloves of garlic, some walnuts (1/2 cup is plenty), a nice handful or two of parmesan, and start streaming in olive oil until it's the right consistency. Freezes beautifully in those little ziploc type sandwich bags! Yum :)

Here's the McCain's US Facebook page, jdouglas:

    There's a $1 off purely potatoes on it. :-)

jdouglas - here are some great ideas on how to preserve basil into the winter:

She has ideas on freezing in ice cube trays, making pesto and basil butter, and making basil vinegar, among other things. I may just try a few of them as my daughter's basil plant is really taking off! I am glad you prompted me to look this up!

Dstned, sometimes I am truly a FB dummie. I could only find the UK site for McCains. Can you provide a link? I really want that coupon!!! :P Thanks :)

Dstned, thanks for the tip about the McCain's coupon on FB and LOL about you having the same dream I do. Glad to hear I'm not crazy! ;) Skisx3, thanks for also confirming I have not lost my mind. I knew I had that coupon somewhere!

Please tell me more about the Savory Spice Shop and where is Lafayette Village?? Flying, I love growing herbs too and have been trying to figure out the best way to preserve basil. I have some gorgeous purple ruffles basil that I yearn for in the winter.
