Food Lion has some good buys on grapes, apples, chicken breasts, 7UP, Pantene and more! There is also a new promotion and you could earn $20 towards your next shopping trip. If you are planning a trip to Emerald Pointe, you can also score a discount with your MVP card! Read on for the details.   These deals are valid 5/30 – 6/5.

Food Lion Coupon Basics

Food Lion does not double coupons

They have no limits on number of coupons they will take, unless specified in the ad

BOGO items ring up at half price so if you only buy 1, it rings at half price. You can use a coupon on each BOGO sale item.

E-Coupons: You can now load RedPlum.com manufacturer’s coupons to your Food Lion MVP card and when they scan your card at the register and you buy the qualifying items, the discount will come off automatically. I spoke with corporate and they confirmed that these are manufacturer’s coupons and not to be combined with hard copy manufacturer’s from the newspaper and other sources. She said their policy is only 1 coupon per product. No e-coupons will double. Click HERE for more information.

Wet‘n Wild Emerald Pointe discount on tickets when you show your MVP card:
$7 off all-day admission May 26 – June 30
$5 off all-day admission July 1 – September 3
Valid for up to 6 people for each MVP transaction, no discounts during 4 pm admissions during entire 2012 season

Summer Savings event: Get $20 in free groceries when you shop 6 times between 5/23 and 7/17 and spend $45 or more in each shopping trip. Once you make the 6 required shopping trips, you will receive a coupon on your receipt for $20 off your next shopping trip. See store for more details. Honestly, I never spend that much an any one store every week, so I never get these types of rewards. If Food Lion is your main store, though, you may spend enough every week to get the reward.

The $3/2 is for Pantene products, not just shampoo/conditioner, so you can use that also if you don't have the BOGO. And the free styling product deal is limited to 1 "reward" per trip.

blstarlin, thanks for the heads up. The BOGO says Pantene product, I was thinking it was on Shampoo/Conditioner.

Guess I'll be headed to FL tonight since the coupon expires today. :)

Thanks for the replies about the FL corn. Maybe my FL had
"exclusive" rights to the bad batch. ;)

I think it's great we can now add Red Plum to our Food Lion cards.

If you use the B1G1 pantene coupon you can get a shampoo or condition and a styling product for 24 cents!

I also bought the corn and was so pleasantly surprised. I threw it on the grill, and it was some of the sweetest corn I've ever had. Sorry you had a bad experience.

Has anyone bought the freschetta pizza using the coupon? I want to know if it will work. Its the only item I need at FL and don't want to waste a trip :(

I bought twenty ears from FL this past weekend. The truck had just delivered a batch...it was some of the sweetest corn I've ever had...delicious! Maybe your store just had a bad batch?

  • itsmyownopinion May 30, 4:34 p.m.

Food Lion had corn @ 10 for $2.00 in their last ad and I was wondering if anybody was as disappointed in the quality as I was. I didn't buy any because, after pulling back the shuck to peek and finding corn worms on corn that looked as full and tough as feed corn for farm animals, I decided it would be better to check elsewhere. Nothing is a bargain if it's not worth eating. On the other hand I bought the best papaya I've ever eaten at the same Food Lion a couple of weeks ago at a fair price, and I got some really good avocados during the same shopping trip.
