Posted May 25, 2012

Groupon has a number of good deals right now for Crystal Palace buffet in Raleigh, The Economist Magazine, Triangle Rock Club, Tag Ur It in Smithfield, hair care in Fuquay-Varina and more!  Click HERE for all the details.

Crystal Palace Fusion Buffet & Restaurant in Northeast Raleigh: $10 for $20 worth of All-You-Can Eat Buffet with Chinese, American, and Mexican Fare! The lunch buffet is $7.29 per adult; the dinner buffet is $10.49–$12.49 per adult, depending on day of visit. Prices for children vary based on age.

The Economist: For $59, you get a 51-issue subscription to The Economist (a $126.99 value). The subscription includes delivery of 51 printed issues and access to The Economist online and audio. This could make a good Father's Day gift - my husband enjoys this magazine.

Triangle Rock Club in Morrisville: Choose Between Two Options including $9 for a drop-in kids' climb time with included equipment (a $20 value) or $139 for a one-week track-out camp (a $300 value)

Tag Ur It in Smithfield: Play-Center Visits
$4 for one admission (up to an $8 value)
$18 for five admissions (up to a $40 value)

Hair care in Fuquay-Varina: Renita Burnette at Salon Bliss – Fuquay-Varina, Cut and Style with Optional Relaxer Retouching or Partial Highlights (Up to 59% Off)

Click HERE for the details on all these deals.

If you are new to Groupon, it's an easy way to get 1/2 price deals on activities all around town including dining, bowling, facials, massages, movies, haircuts, oil changes, special events and more. You buy the deal, print the coupon and then present it at the business to redeem.

Getaways: One of my favorite sections of Groupon in the summer is the Getaways section (found at the top of the Groupon home page). Here you can find great deals to hotels and destinations in NC and all over the world. We have used a number of the Getaway Groupons to places including Williamsburg/Busch Gardens, the NC mountains and more!  We are staying at our favorite Blowing Rock inn this summer for half price using a Groupon deal!

Groupon Goods: Groupon also offers deals on items you can buy online through Groupon Goods. To see the Groupon Goods deals, click on "Goods" at the top of the page HERE. These are usually 1/2 price deals on products that are mailed to you after purchase. You pay for the purchase, give your name and mailing address at checkout and the item is mailed to you. I have purchased a number of items through Groupon Goods and have found them to be good quality.

Groupon Rewards: Groupon also started a new Rewards program. When you register your credit card with Groupon and spend a certain amount at participating retailers, you earn rewards for that business including free Groupons to use there. You can see more details at Groupon, click on the Rewards link at the top right of the home page.

We loved Crystal Palace until the recent remodel. They have less choices on the buffet and the serving pans are small. The new decor is nice but the seating is less comfortable, they got rid of 90% of booth seating. Overall, it is still a good place to eat and we will enjoy our groupon for lunch but it is not as good as it used to be. Why do places have to change things that are not broken?

Sammy, I will have to check out the Hibachi Buffet. We have been looking for a new place since the Crystal Palace remodel. Our biggest requirements are variety, freshness, and quality. Sounds like they have that covered.

I did not like the Hibachi Grill. Went once...will not be going back.

I used to be a Crystal Palace fan but haven't gone back since the new Hibachi Buffet opened up in the old Golden Corral on Millbrook Road. They have tons of food (easily three times the choices at CP) including a hibachi grill and sushi and the price is the same or less than Crystal Palace. There are even $1 off coupons online.

Crystal Palace is the best Chinese my opinion. I have tried others and been disappointed.
