Harris Teeter Triples brag thread!

Posted May 16, 2012

Here's the place to share your great register totals, funny stories, coupon disasters and all things Triple Coupons at Harris Teeter this week!  Let's hear it - how did you do?

Here are my totals from my shop Wednesday morning at the store at Hwy 401 and Ten Ten Rd at 8:15 AM.

Subtotal before sales and coupons:  $52.78

Total saved: $52.35

Total paid: 43 cents!

Products purchased:

2 YoCrunch Greek Yogurt 4 packs - .75 coupon = .72 each

3 YoCrunch yogurt 4-packs - .75 coupon = free

2 Dole frozen fruit - .75 coupon = free

2 Pepp. Farm baked crackers - .75 coupon = .25 each

2 Grande tortilla chips - .75 coupon = .25 each

1 Mentos gum - .55 coupon = free

1 Tabasco - .60 coupon = free

2 Carefree - .50 coupon - 9 cents each

2 Franks hot sauce - .75 coupon = free

2 Heluva Good Dip - .55 coupon = free

2 Eggos waffles - .75/2 coupon = .67 each

In addition to using coupons for all the products, I also used a $3 Catalina register coupon (which scanned with no issues) from Food Lion and a $1 CVS ECB that required management approval. Not all HT's will take ECB's so you just have to ask at your store.

This was a great shopping trip for snack foods. Obviously, I am doing my produce and meat shopping for the week at another time.

    (short game)

FREE Coke Zero (plus a little extra). Haven't seen this one mentioned yet and it's very fun! Coke Zero is offering a $0.99/1 (ANY multipack) at battleforeverything(dot)com. You have to register or log in, play a shot game (very first level) and eventually you will get to a point where it looks for prizes for you. It will then send you the coupon via email.

I also added the ZVR for Coke Zero (any multipack). I've used mine to get the8-pack of 12-ounce bottles which is on sale for $3.33. So $3.33 - $2.97 (99 cents, tripled) - $1.00 ZVR gets you free Coke Zero and 64 cents off your cart. The 6-pack of bottles or 8-pack of cans would also be free.

I just love that they made the Q for $0.99! Oh, and you can reload the ZVR multiple times.

I went to the HT at North Hills tonight. HT was out of several items on Faye's list including Mardi Gras napkins, Kleenex hand towels, Gain dish soap, Pepperidge Farm baked chips, Kool Aid, Grande tortilla chips, Schick shave gel, etc. On the way out, I asked the manager if the store would get these items in before Tuesday. The manager said that HT's truck would arrive Friday night and the shelves would be stocked Saturday morning. Happy shopping everyone!

A lot of the stores that used to take RR's and ECB's have really scaled that back and some are not taking them. You have to ask you specific store about their policy because they all don't seem to be doing the same thing.

  • Mommy2Caleb+Carly May 17, 2012

Do all Harris Teeter's take the RR's and ECB's and the like? I asked my store the last time they had doubles and the mgr. acted like I was crazy...just wondering. Also, what about the coupons that print at the register from like Food Lion, but it says MFG coupon...will HT take those? Thanks!

Any problem using the Quaker Granola Bars Q? Says Do Not Double... The one from the Pepsico insert?

It is the Rainchecks that you can pull out at any later time that can make some of the sweetest deals. I am such a fan of their power when combined with other promotions and coupons and of the abilty to make your own sale with one when conditions are favorable.
