Updated: 2012-05-08 17:10:00

Food Lion has some good produce buys this week including cucumbers, green peppers, apples and strawberries! You'll also find decent deals on bone-in chicken breasts and sour cream. These deals are valid 5/9 – 5/15.

Food Lion Coupon Basics

Food Lion does not double coupons

They have no limits on number of coupons they will take, unless specified in the ad

BOGO items ring up at half price so if you only buy 1, it rings at half price. You can use a coupon on each BOGO sale item.

E-Coupons: You can now load RedPlum.com manufacturer’s coupons to your Food Lion MVP card and when they scan your card at the register and you buy the qualifying items, the discount will come off automatically. I spoke with corporate and they confirmed that these are manufacturer’s coupons and not to be combined with hard copy manufacturer’s from the newspaper and other sources. She said their policy is only coupon per product. No e-coupons will double. Click HERE for more information.

HT has the Pop Tarts on e-Vic this week for 1.47. With the coupon I got them today for 1.13 each.

HeritigeGrl How to freeze potatoes. If you want fries cut them like fries, if you want potato salad cut them in cubes. Cut them how ever you want them. Make sure you par-cook before you freeze. When you get ready to cook the fries you can cook in hot oil or bake. When you cook the cubes for potato salad just boil.

@Couponsarefoundmoney - do you cut up the potatoes before cooking or do you cook them whole and then cut into desired size.

@Couponsarefoundmoney--What a great idea for the potatoes. Do you store them in Ziploc bags?

Question... that P&G special where you spend 15$ and get 5$ off purchase... is that still a valid deal ?

And yesterday I got an email from FL with a coupon for $2 off any $5 worth of produce!! Yippee! I think I'll stock up on the potatoes and do the whole par-cook for a minute, cut up and freeze routine. 10# of potatoes lasts us a long time!
