ddalmas, thanks for the youtube link. Very helpful! I always forget how much stuff you can learn on youtube :) Good luck with your container gardening. I hope you post occasionally on how it's going :)

Does anyone know a great deal on pull-tab canned fruit? Just made the cutest teacher appreciation gift but need more of the cans!

jdouglas13 - I have mourned the loss of gardening for more than 10 years now ... we have lots of deer and no good place for a garden. This spring my husband, who never before showed any interest in gardening, even back in the years when I spent many hours gardening, has assembled 4 bucket containers, and is as excited as a kid checking on the plants daily (one each early girl, cherry tomato, yellow squash, and zucchini). It will be interesting to see how he decides to support the vertical growth. His containers look similar to the design in this YouTube video:

If this is successful, next year more bright orange Home Depot buckets might be added to the 4 now on our deck.

Went to Tractor Supply in Selma today and found some wonderful really big 15 or 16 inch pots for my tomato plants for only $3.99 each. Usually pots that size are way more expensive so I was very happy. Any other veggie container gardeners out there?

Went to McDonalds for lunch today and they gave me a flyer for the new Cherry Berry Chiller will be 49cents on Tuesday, May 15th from 8am-8pm at participating locations. I was at the Peace St in Raleigh restaurant.

shelllauren: I've done it with Amazon and Sears and never had a problem. As long as you remember to cancel it should be fine.

My friend's child has volunteered to shave his head to raise money for juvenile cancer research. Please consider sponsoring him if you are able. Thanks a million!
