Oxymoron- I did not realize that about the moisture control not being for edibles...ooops! Thanks for the heads-up :) I haven't planted my veggies yet, so good thing...

kcampbell, I'm going to second the farmers market for buying your seedlings. You'll find an assortment of hybrids similar to what you'd find at Lowes or Home Depot, but you'll also find heirlooms. Many heirlooms have been bred to be super tasty. The extra price of the seedlings is well worth it, as is the guidance of someone who *gasp* actually knows something about the plants you're buying.

It says right on the bag of moisture control potting mix that you should not use it for edibles. Dunno why but I've always erred on the side of caution and not used it. I prefer blending my own potting mix anyway, it's cheaper and I get to know exactly what's in it.

If you live near Holly Springs - it's Four Oaks Bank's Customer Appreciation Day tomorrow from 11am-2pm. They are serving free hot dogs and from what I hear they're pretty good with fixin's.

anyone know where I might be able to find a reasonable place/person to get someone to fix a dishwasher that does not drain?

kcampbell113 I like getting my veggie starters at the Farmer's Market, they have a fantastic selection. If you go tomorrow, go early, it is a ZOO later on Saturday mornings/afternoon. Home Depot/Lowes is OK IF you can catch a fresh delivery (Friday evenings are usually good), otherwise the poor little plantlets are left to fend for themselves. Also, I recommend 'splurging' for the moisture control potting soil, makes it a little more forgiving on the plants if we have dry spells or if you need to go out of town for a few days. As far as container diameter goes, anything 6" or under is a constant watering fight, they dry out so quick. I like fewer, larger pots. Cukes & Zucchini germinate readily from seed (& you'll have plenty to share), tomatoes & peppers, best to get starter plants (unless you want to wait til September for your first crop).

I want to plant our container gardens this weekend. I like to do regular tomatoes, grape/cherry tomatoes, thin japanese eggplant, bell pepper, cucumber, and zuchinni. This year we want to try watermelon in one. Where is the best place to buy plants? I have never started anything from seed.

Found a basket of clearance at HT today yay! There was a lot of deodorant! Secret deodorant on clearance for $1.70 with $1 off 1 coup from a recent P&G ( I believe last Sundays coupons) it was .70 cents!!! Also lots of old spice deodorant and some body spray! I love HT clearance!

I was able to enter both codes for 8 pts. each. That was a pleasant surprise!

Just FYI: I entered both the codes and got credit for both. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't so you guys can try both codes and see what happens.

jzka - that's an awesome deal on the mower repair!! It was a whole lot cheaper than our new dishwasher! LOL
