Here's the place to share your great Super Doubles register totals, funny stories and coupon disasters at Harris Teeter AND Lowes Foods this week! Let's hear it - how did you do?  Please be sure to specify which store you found the deal or had an issue (Lowes Foods or Harris Teeter).

I can't wait to hear about all the deals you are going to get!

May the force be with you!

$110.83 divided by $124.12 = .89 (89%)

Went to Lowes Foods at 42/50 this morning and bought $52.14 for $5.55. :-)

Thanks for the Turkey Hill ice cream heads up, leeandkaren!

Someone else posted about the Kraft Bites deal: on sale at LF for $2.50 - $1 printable coupon when you Like them on Facebook = .50 each.

https://www.facebook.com/milkbite/app_275287549220319

I went to HT on Harrison Ave after work and got everything on my list. The total came to $86.88, but I only spent $32.77 - saved $54.11.

etrudeau -- make sure you check the stuff hanging around the registers....I saw several checkout areas with the Tums Freshers.

Both HT and LF in Apex were out of Tums Freshers last night at about 7, but I managed to get everything else I was looking for. I knew the evening on the first day would be hit or miss but it was the only time I could go.

Also wanted to post this here too.. At LF--another great deal--- Turkey Hill ice cream on sale for 3.00-1.00 q = 1.00!! My LF was fully stocked this morning.

dkg - yes, you can use the Lowes Foods in-ad store coupons with manufacturer coupons. One of the best deals is the Jell-O pudding with store and .50/2 manufacturer coupon.

tiffh - The Purex crystals are $4.99 - $1 coupon (from coupons.com I think) = $2.99. It's not the best price but I needed to buy them, so it was a good buy for me.

can someone tell me if you can used the Lowe's Foods 3-week coupons that were in their flyer last week in conjunction with manufacturer coupons?

I think typically the day after the tax deadline is pretty quiet. And I for one had budgeted for SDs NEXT week so I will be heading out tomorrow or Friday-after payday for my goodies:) Congrats on the savings everyone!

Computer-I paid $2.50 for Wholly Guacamole at HT on Guess Road in Durham but I only had the $1.00 off coupons, but still I think $.50 is great for that addictive stuff!

ddalmas-I was at the HT on Guess Road at Willodaile but I will be going to "your" HT at lunchtime tomorrow as it's close to where I work. I could not believe how quiet it was in there this morning!

gocats8-I love the cleaning basket idea!

"Ummmm....jzka - I am guessing that was a typo and that you did not try to use $160 in walgreens rr's at ht. ;-)"

Faye...WOW! Yes, what a typo indeed! I used $9.99 in Walgreen's RRs (2 total) along with coupons to reach my total savings of $160, which was also a typo - my actual total savings...$210 today, so almost exactly 75% :)

After a great power nap this afternoon, I've decided to make a few more runs this week to both HT and LF for freebies/super cheap only.

gocats, love both the Purex Crystals and the Unstoppables, I'll buy which ever one is on sale for the right price. I'm currently well stocked on the Unstoppables because they seemed to have been promoted heavily the last few months!

tiffh - yes, the Purex crystals are on sale this week, you can always check prices of the current week online at HT's express lane shopping (even if YOUR store doesn't have express lane)

http://shop.mywebgrocer.com/shop.aspx?

Just type in the product where the store address window is and it will pull up that item and you can see the regular price and the sale price :)

I have tried the purex crystals. I loved it and it was safe to use on my Children's sleepwear! Are they on sale this week at ht?

I was very impressed with LF on 42 and 50 this afternoon. They had everything that I went after and none of the shelves were completely sold out!

I went to the Fuquay HT on Main this evening, and they actually had all but one of the items on my list. I was so surprised! I got 2 Crave cat treats, BelVita cookies, Tums refreshers, Carefree liners, Neutrogena hand cream, Reynolds slow cooker liners (BOGO rain check and coupon), 2 Pure protein bars, All detergent, 2 Carpet Fresh, and Purex crystals. Paid under $7.00!

Has anyone else tried the Purex crystals? I love the Downy Unstopables but these were a better deal, and I am putting together a cleaning basket for a friend's bridal shower gift. Btw, if any fellow couponers are giving bridal shower or even graduation/college move-in gifts, cleaning baskets are such a helpful gift and can be super cheap with coupons!

bean, a catalina machine produced coupon from one store is rarely accepted at another store. The CVS ECB's, Walgreens RR's and Rite Aid's +UP rewards *may* be accepted depending on the individual store managers at HT, the only way to be sure if they take them at the store you're in is to ask at the customer service desk before you shop :)

Faye, I did not know you could use CVS ECB's. I had a crave Catalina from Lowes Foods store and they gave me a hard time today at HT for using it. Never had I been questioned before about using a manufacture coupon from another store. Oh well!

shelllauren - Were you at the HT near Hwy 54 & Fayetteville in Durham this morning? If so, I may have greeted you, and as others have noted, we marveled at how quiet the store was!

Unlike some coupon events, I don't have many items that I'm planning to make another trip for, but am pleased with my deals: Emerald nuts, Lifesavers candy (my IP did not scan either, but was entered manually), Quaker Stila (RC), NutriGrain bars (RC), Grande tortilla chips, S. Beach bars, AquaFresh, Smart Balance milk (and free spread), Sorrento mozarella, Tums Freshers, Charmin Freshmates, SunMaid chopped dates (clearance priced $1.74 on shelf w/other dried fruit), Seasons sardines, and EarthBound Farms romaine.

I wrote down how many of each price coupon I was using, and was glad I did because when I checked the receipt, one of the $1.50 ones had not been scanned. Likely they just stuck together - but CS was of course wonderful and after verifying she refunded the $3 for that coupon.

Good luck, hlokers! :-)

Great job, stephiec!

I am looking forward to hitting Lowes Foods again tomorrow am after dropping off my youngest at school and before starting work.

At Lowes I spent $6.32 and saved $40.01 At the Teeter I spent $14 and saved $67! So excited to go back to both tomorrow!! :)

Will be at HT in FV around 5:30, I hope they still have some deals in stock. Wish me luck.

Computer - Wholly Guac is not on sale. We have $1.50/1 coupons from their facebook page last week. The coupon was only available for a day or so, but was posted either in the share deals or it's own thread - can't remember now. Doubled, it makes the 7 oz free. Sorry you missed it. :-(

I have a couple of the WHOLLY Coupons, but the stuff is NOT on sale at the CV HT. Where are you finding it on sale?

nstutt - I totally agree at the HT in Clayton! I really hoped it would be in the 4042 area.

Ummmm....jzka - I am guessing that was a typo and that you did not try to use $160 in walgreens rr's at ht. ;-)

I agree with the observations that there are not as many freebies, but I am thrilled with the healthier deals, as jzka noted. Free Smart Balance milk (with raincheck), Activia yogurt and guacamole rocks! lol We are still enjoying the free tofu from the last HT triples event.

jzka23vzka...that is good to know. I was hoping everyone would go to HT...haha! I should be getting by there about 4, so I'm hoping for good luck. I was so mad at myself for oversleeping! :)

ncsugirlie, I went to Lowe's at 10am and they had plenty of everything and maybe 3 other shoppers in the entire store :0

HT had a few more people, but they were also well stocked at Noon. While I agree that not as many items were free this time around, I found that the deals I did get are the healthier items that we use and really need.

I spent $70 at both stores today, but I saved $160 using Walgreen's RRs and a $10/50 HT Recyclebank. I bought everything we need for two weeks with the exception of the fresh produce I bought last week at Aldi.

I overslept this morning (or my alarm didn't go off) for me to get up and hit LF at 6am. So, by the time I woke up I couldn't make it in time and get to work early. So, I'm going to attempt to go to the LF at 40/42 after work in hopes of still getting a few things. Does anyone know if their stock is real low on the good deals?

I spent 21 and saved $55. When I got home I found that I forgot to use one coupon for Emerald Breakfast on the go so I would have saved $2 more :( . I had my baby and toddler with me going shopping so I guess one not used coupon is not too bad.

debra, it's a learning curve but once you catch on, you will be hooked forever :) Always ask if unsure! And at HT if you have a question, you can always approach the CS counter, they are usually terrific and friendly too! But the folks here and Faye are really helpful!!!

Went to HT, spent 25.09 got (6)Emerald nuts,(3)Scrubbing Bubbles bathroom cleaners, (1) Ocean Spray Juice, (2)Ivory Soaps,(1) X14,(2)Vlasic pickles,(2)Keri Lotions,(1)McCain Sweet Potatoes, (1)Smart Balance Milk and free SB spread,(2)ICBINB. Very happy with my purchases! Thanks Harris Teeter!!

nstutt the 40/42 area would have been perfect! Oh well, you can't win em all.

I'm thinking the stores were dead because the freebies are getting fewer and fewer with each SD event. I remember the list of freebies used to be rather extensive and now only a few of them.

When I first read the previous post re: an HT in Clayton, I thought it was near 4042. But then saw it was the 4042 website not the 4042 area. Seems strange though. Thought there was a denser population in the 4042 area than in the FP area. But is is good news nonetheless.

I went to HT today and purchased $68 (yikes!) worth of stuff for $23.

Yes Faye, you answered my question and thanks couponsarefoundmoney for the info in DND. I am new at this and sometimes don't read everything....obviously!!

Oh the people of Garner/Clayton/Smithfield/Benson are going to be so happy when the HT opens up out there!!! How long overdue that is!

Debra, I also want to warn you that the Vanity Fair napkin coupon states Do Not Double and it has the new barcode only, which means that when it is scanned, it will not double :(

jdouglas - yep! The webmaster at 4042.com posted about a month ago that HT secured land over there. I am in Clayton about once a week so it will be nice to have one there.

Debra - I am not sure I understand your question. If you load an e-Vic coupon, it will only come off of the product 1 time. So if you buy 3 of that product, you will not get the e-Vic coupon for all three. The coupon may re-load after you have used it and you can check to see if you can load it again by going back into your account at harristeeter.com.

You can use the e-vic coupon with the mc at the same time though!

If that didn't answer your question, give me a little more info about what you want to do.

Faye, no way... HT near Flowers Plantation!! You mean it will only take me 5 or 10 minutes instead of an hour to get to HT!! If both of my legs still worked, I'd definitely be doing the happy dance!! :)))))

Does anyone know if I can buy 3 items from my e-vic coupons in the same day? I have an e-Vic for the Vanity Fair napkins for $1and I also have the MC for them too @ $1.00/2.

pss3 - that is a haul if you are just going for HT. If you are going to be near an HT anytime in the next week, bring a cooler with ice and hit it then (which you probably already do, anyway!). I went to the HT on Main in Fuquay this morning which is 16 miles each way for me costing about $5.40 in gas. It was worth it though and I hit the Lowes Foods on 42 on the way home (which I had to pass to get home). I know you are going to be thrilled when the reported HT in the Flowers area of Clayton opens next year!

I just got back from the Clayton LF and I got $84 worth of groceries for $38 OOP. Not bad considering I focused on foods my family needs and got some non food stuff. My favorite deal was the meal deal, my family loves the Tyson Honey Chicken Tenders so that was a great deal! I agree that the store was quiet. I'm undecided about whether HT is worth the 26 miles each way....gas is just so expensive.

superquaid - agreed, not the greatest sale at HT for SD's but enough good deals to get me out ;)

Love the birds eye, mccain, alexia, SB milk stuff though and will hit the store more this week to max out those coupons.

couponsarefoundmoney- Yeah, I think the stores are quieter since both HT and LF have the same sale going. Also, maybe I'm just getting spoiled, but the deals this time around don't seem to be as good. Most of the items with really good deals are not "need" items.

Went to Lowes Food spend 23.62 and got 3 lf bacons, 2 alexia sweet potatoes, 4 yakisoba noodles, 2 hungry jack pancake mixes, 1 dole frozen smoothie shakers, 2 bumble bee tunas, 1 m&m pretzels, 2 yoplait yogurst (clearance) 1 turkey hill ice cream, 1 MM juice,2 ICBINB, and 5 spring booklets.

savvysaver...my HT would not let me do that when I tried in the past. I'll have to try that again and maybe I'll have better luck. They said 3 coupons per like item regardless of the amount or using different coupons. That's good to know. Thanks!

holly, I didn't see a sign at my HT for the free SB butter spread either with purchase of milk, totally forgot about it too! So naturally I didn't get it but to be honest, I have so much ICBINB and regular butter in my freezer it won't be missed. AND I picked up another free tub of ICBINB spread today too with that $1.25 coupon and it was on sale for $2.19.
