The LF coupon book has a 1/2 Yakisoba noodles (I used my insert coupons a couple weeks ago)...not sure if it has already been mentioned earlier in the week or not...

I believe I saw yesterday that eggs @ Aldi were 1.59/dozen

Faye, that's the same McCormick Recipe inspirations that I picked up, too...I am looking forward to trying it :)

Green peppers are .48 each at Walmart.

aewagner - I posted the details of the booklet on Monday if you want to look back to see the specific coupons in the booklet. Basically, the booklet is in Lowes Foods stores, costs $1 and the proceeds go to local food banks. The coupons are great and most don't expire until the end of May. I have already used 4 or 5 of them and they all doubled so I have more than paid for the coupon book and donated $1 to the food bank! :-) I found mine in a display when I first walked in the door but ask customer service if you don't see them in your store.

How do you get the lowes food coupon booklet? just free in stores?

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Apr 12, 2012

annortego - I like the McCormick Recipe Inspirations and have bought them before when they were free with coupons. The Asian salmon one with the sesame seeds is really good.

  • annortego Apr 12, 2012

I bought as many Yakisobas as I could. My 16 year old son and his friends go to town on those when they sleep over.

I've also stocked up on the McCormick seasonings. Being from south Louisiana, I usually just stick to Tony Chaceres and cayenne but the inspirations (which were free) should let me change things up.

Thanks savvysaver - that's still higher than I like to pay for eggs but it's better than full price! Thankfully I still have 2 dozen of the LOL brown eggs that were BOGO (with raincheck) at HT during the last triples. With the .75 coupon they were an amazing deal.

  • Savvysaver Apr 12, 2012

Eggland's Best Extra Large Eggs are on sale at HT for $2.39, use .35/1 it's $1.69.

  • marybethwright06 Apr 12, 2012

I don't do the yakisobas ... but teen boys can and do eat anything!

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Apr 11, 2012

Way to shop marybeth! You are the raincheck queen!

Have you seen the fat content in one package of the Yakisobas?? Yikes! It's definitely not a basics item in our house.
