BOGO items ring up at half price so if you only buy 1, it rings at half price. You can use a coupon on each BOGO sale item.

E-Coupons: You can now load manufacturer’s coupons to your Food Lion MVP card and when they scan your card at the register and you buy the qualifying items, the discount will come off automatically. I spoke with corporate and they confirmed that these are manufacturer’s coupons and not to be combined with hard copy manufacturer’s from the newspaper and other sources. She said their policy is only coupon per product. No e-coupons will double. Click HERE for more information.

Faye, I had the exact same issue at FL with the GG veggie promotion. They did not understand the special well enough to figure out why the $$ were not coming off. After 15 min of messing with it they manually entered the discount when I refused to purchase the veggies w/o the discount. Not until reading your post have I understood why that discount did not come off. Some flyers and management being clued in would have sure helped.

paintbananas - my Food Lion has them in stores as well. Thanks for the reminder. :-)

Warning to everyone - I picked up 10 of the Green Giant frozen boxed veggies today because the shelf was marked that they were still on sale for $1 and that they were part of the Big Deal sale. BUT, I didn't realize that 3 of the varieties are NOT included in the Big Deal promo. They did not have a Bog Deal sticker, but I wasn't paying close attention clearly. I had to return them all and then have them re-ring 10 of the ones that are included. So don't assume that all the varieties of the GG boxed veggies are qualifying items. The creamed spinach is not. :-(

My Food Lion had some flyers at the front that listed ALL of the Big Deal items, in alphabetical order by category, so it was really easy to find. There were some things on there that weren't in the ad but were good deals (for here at least, in my coupon-doubling desert with only FL, Walmart, and Piggly Wiggly) with the Big Deal discount that I caught because of the flyer.
