I agree, quemaster - coffee has gotten *very* expensive!
There was a good deal on Maxwell House at Kroger last week (I got a 32 oz tub for $6 after sale and coupon). I haven't noticed any deals this week.

  • quemaster Mar 29, 2012

Coffee. That is a basic for me. Anyone know where it is on sale?

  • jydelmonico74 Mar 29, 2012

i would like to see more information and deals on Silk and Almond Milk from Silk and Almond Breeze. I think a lot more people are using this as an alternative to milk from a cow and it would be great to know when and where that is on sale. The stores do not do a very good job in advertising them even when they are on sale.

Awesomely frugal plan, etrudeau! Very impressed!

  • erika483 Mar 29, 2012

I was at Kroger today and they had Green Bell Peppers 2/$1

  • mikke114 Mar 29, 2012

Actually Faye the freezer is my plan anyway :) I'm planning to cook that and a turkey breast (already have) for sandwich meat on our vacation to the mountains next month.

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Mar 29, 2012

etrudeau - it's a tough call. I have seen them as low as .99/lb in the past, but I doubt they will get that low this year.....but you never know.....

You could get one at $1.49/lb this week and if they go lower next week, pick up another to put in the freezer for next month.

I do know that Aldi will have their spiral sliced hams still on sale for $1.69/lb next week.

    Thanks, sandtran and heremaj! :-)

  • mikke114 Mar 29, 2012

Now for the ham game. Buy the spiral sliced at Kroger this week, or hope for an even better deal next week...decisions haha.

  • sandtran36 Mar 29, 2012

Faye, you are so awesome! Thanks for all the helpful info you provide!
