Harris Teeter Triples brag thread!

Here's the place to share your great register totals, funny stories, coupon disasters and all things Triple Coupons at Harris Teeter this week!  Let's hear it - how did you do?

For the list of triples deals, click the link in the box above.

I went to the Harris Teeter at Hwy. 401 and Ten Ten Road in the Garner/Fuquay area this morning around 8:30 am. The store had a number of couponers but it wasn't packed. They were out of many freebies, but I had some rain checks and they still had a number of good deals left.

You can see the picture of the items I purchased and the receipt in the box above. You can also see a picture of the register and two wonderful Harris Teeter employees, Ursula and Amber! These ladies were just lovely this morning!

Total before sales and coupons: $55.37

Total paid: 40 cents!

I used a combination of manufacturer's coupons, ZVR, rain checks and competitor's coupon (CVS ECB) to get it down to 40 cents. I love that this purchase included 2 dozen eggs, 2 boxes of Fiber One cereal, 2 packages of tofu, and 2 yogurt containers.

I also found a fabulous unadvertised deal that my kids will love! Whole Fruit frozen fruit bars, Passion Fruit variety is on clearance for $1.79. I had .50/1 coupons that were printed on the inside of product packages I bought many months ago (that don't expires until July). Total after coupons for a product that is usually $4.19 was .29 each!

Thanks again to all of you for sharing your triple coupon experiences! I am so excited about your savings and so grateful that you are all posting your great finds so we can all help each other save, save, save!

If you feel so inclined, I am sure Harris Teeter would appreciate a thank you for offering such a generous promotion. You can call them at 1-800- 243-6111 or send them an e-mail on their customer comment form at www.HarrisTeeter.com.

Total before VIC, $74, after VIC before coupons $51, AFTER coupons $13.87! Got my FAVORITE cereal for free- 2 boxes! That in and of itself was worth the early morning.

Well quite disappointed. 7:10 and they were out of the Bounty, don't carry the size of meatballs and the Falls of Neuse store apparently doesn't carry the Danimals Crunchers. How are they already out of the napkins at 7:10 a.m? Oh well, not such a good start. :(

**not Bounty but Mardi Gras napkins :)

Corbin, the napkins have already been on sale for dirt cheap for while. It is possible their stock is just depleted.

I got $64.97 worth of groceries for $.89. Less than a dollar, and I didn't use any competitor coupons. Harris Teeter, I love you!

My first triples event was fantastic! $65.54 before and $9.25 oop. I was able to get the bread crumbs (2), meatballs (2), and mardi gras napkins (1) for free along with other great deals. The store I went to on Edwards Mill had the meatballs in two different places. The big bags with the apps and the smaller bags with the meals (very nice service rep helped me find them!). I used the 75 cents off Planters Nutrition bar coupon and it DID triple! Yay! Also, I noticed the Dial was not on sale at my location. Another good deal - Irish Spring classic deodorant was clearanced at $2.09, so it was $1.09 after $1 off coupon. Everyone was very nice and friendly and the staff was very helpful. Can't wait for round two!

Okay now i got it...so i got there at 7 when i thought the sale started but then was told that shoppers get there at 5 or so a.m., put the things in the cart & check out at 7 when the sale starts.

$83.14, paid $17.00 - everything I wanted was there! woot! only gripe this morning is...why oh why would you have your stockboys with PALLETS of stuff in the middle of the aisles stocking on the first morning of super triples?!?!? come on now, LOL

I have to say...I prefer triples over super doubles any day! My before price was about $60 and my OOP expense was only $8.75! Because of decent sales previous weeks, they did not have the best stock of a few items, but I was very pleased. HT gets a huge shout out from me. Their customer service is the best of any store I go to.

Corbin...my store was out of the napkins too, but as another poster stated...I think that was even before this morning. My HT was even almost out of the MM OJ this morning. Yesterday it was just 6 cents more because it was on sale.

One more thing...not sure if someone else posted this. Pillsbury dough is not on sale, but with coupons and the ZVR, it was a great deal. There are 75 cent printables and 1.00 off ZVR. So, I ended up paying a little over $5 for 4 rolls of cookie dough. I use this for my 6 year old's easy bake oven. Super easy and much cheaper than the mixes!
