Food Lion deals 3/14 - 3/20

Posted March 13, 2012
Updated March 14, 2012

Food Lion is doubling coupons again for a second week in the Triangle and Fayetteville area stores. They also have another 3-day sale. You'll find decent deals this week on cabbage, carrots, strawberries, oranges, Activia, and Coke 2 liters (if you buy 4 at once).  Read below for the coupon policies. Please share if you find any great deals!

Coupon policy during Food Lion Double Coupon Event:

*Food Lion will double coupons with a face value of .99 or less. This means that 75-cent coupons will double to $1.50 and 50-cent coupons will double to $1.00.
*Coupons will double up to the cost of the item. They will not give overage.
*You can double up to 20 coupons per day.
*The maximum number of identical coupons you can double appears to be 20, according to the media representative with whom I spoke. This means that if you have 10 of the same coupon, you can buy 10 of the required product indicated on the coupon and all 10 coupons should double (as long as the coupons are .99 or less face value).
*The coupons from the in-store coupon kiosk will not double.
* BOGO items ring up at half price so if you only buy 1, it rings at half price. You can use a coupon on each BOGO sale item.

E-Coupons: You can now load RedPlum.com manufacturer’s coupons to your Food Lion MVP card and when they scan your card at the register and you buy the qualifying items, the discount will come off automatically. I spoke with corporate and they confirmed that these are manufacturer’s coupons and not to be combined with hard copy manufacturer’s from the newspaper and other sources. She said their policy is only coupon per product. No e-coupons will double. Click HERE for more information.

aewagner87- Thanks so much for clearing that up! I was so disappointed before u pointed that out. Just have to make sure I got by on those days. Thanks!

  • aewagner87 Mar 14, 2012

shelleycole - the all det. is only on special fri-sun I believe

  • uncfsugraduate Mar 14, 2012

The Baby Wipes coupon in the Easter Seal booklet are specifically for FL not sure about the others I was disappointed when I was reading over my coupons before I did the CVS diaper deal :(

Faye- I guess my location (Hillsborough Rd in Durham) isn't running the same deals. They have the All at 4.49 -1q which makes it 3.49 instead of 2.49. Not as happy with that. I have to buy the All clear or Tide Clear since my daughter has such sensitive skin. Does the Purex have a brand for HE washers? I could always wash her clothes in the Clear and everyone elses in the regular inexpensive detergents.

Thanks, kat. My coupon is 1.00/2, so 1.00 each....better than HT. Thanks.

  • kat7232 Mar 14, 2012

Southern savers said the kens dressing is 2.99 each but would be 1.49 with B1G1. Use the coupon for 1.00 off it would be .49 cents each.

Anyone know the price of Ken's salad dressing? BOGO at FL & HT...wondering what FL's price is. Thanks.

ksa - although the Fresh Express coupon would be awesome, it does state "Redeemable ONLY at Safeway Company Stores". Food Lion is not a Safeway store so use of this coupon a Food Lion would be inappropriate. It's in small print so you probably just missed it. Thanks anyway.

The Fresh Express Spinach is on sale for $1.50. You can find a .75 coupon at this website http://www.tonytantillo.com/newsletters/safeway.html and you can print as many as you want. It states DND but .75 for spinach is cheap and if it does double it will be free.

Thanks heremeaj and everyone else. Really appreciate it.

Update on the list above - I just realized the Easter Seals promo ended Tuesday so unless you already got the coupon booklet, you probably can't get it anymore.

heremeaj - AWESOME savings at HT!!!! Way to go! :-)

Shelly - $2.49 is an ok price but I prefer to buy at $2 or less per 50 oz liquid. Purex is $2.49 - .50 coupon from Sunday at CVS this week. If All is your favorite brand, this is a decent price, though.
