My Food Lion double coupon event was more eventful than I anticipated. Went at 7am on Gled Rd. Had regular marketing to do so combined it with some double coupon items. Had (16) coupons to double and about (8) that did not double. I stopped to look at my receipt (learned to do this after being overcharged a few times and not realizing it until I get home)and I could not tell that the (16) coupons doubled. It only showed 'scanned' coupons. I counted them and could see no where on the receipt that they doubled. Went to customer service. She claims they doubled but yet she could not tell or show me from the receipt either. She got the coupons from the register and I verified which coupons ones were mine (glad I keep a good review of the coupons I am using and the cashier kept them together in her bag). Custoemr service rep said she had no way to refund the money from my receipt. Long story short as I would nto go away, she manually added the coupons and created a refund transaction. All t

BTW got the land o lake egg at HT this morning with my .75 Q (land o lake website) and the egg had another .60 Q on them. going back for more eggs.

Does the HT flyer say on it that for that week it will double or triple coupons (when applicable). The reason I ask is if I can go to Walmart, take the HT flyer that shows that it is tripling coupons (starting on the 21st) and will they match the triple coupon? The reason I ask is because I collected several Oikos Greek yoghurt coupons to use at FL during doubles and when I went in yesterday, the price went up from $1 to $1.29 So of course I had to rethink it and it would then be cheaper for me to buy them at HT during triples. But if WM will match the ad showing coupons being tripled, I could use them there for their $1/each yoghurt instead of HT $1.45

Barbara, Walmart will not double or triple coupons as part of a price match using a competitors ad. They will only match a specific price on the ad. They will not match BOGO or 50% off deals. Only a specific price.

I have a baby shower to go to tomorrow....could anyone advise on what is a good price on diapers and where? I know nothing about baby items prices

Ok, this is more of a comment than deal. :=) I picked up some of the philly cream cheese endulgence today when I was at FL since I had my coupons with me. I just stuck my fork in that to try it while I was making my lunch (I have the early lunch). Holy cow that stuff is good! I just wanted to eat that container. Didn't really matter that I didn't have anything to put it on yet. haha

There are 3 new Smart Balance coupons on their website. They are for milk, spread, & eggs & are good until 5.3.12. I received an e-mail from Smart Balance so you probably have to register to get the coupons.

tgarrett - I don't know if you can freeze them; I imagine you can, but I'm no expert on that. However, if you can't, I'm sure there is a homeless shelter or domestic violence shelter that would love any leftovers. Before going back to school, I worked for a shelter that regularly accepted those types of donations, and I think that most do. Happy freezing or donating.

kjohnson, if you go to coupons.com there is a $1.50 cpn for Pampers diapers and wipes. You can print each twice if you need to. Not sure about where would have the best price or if they're on sale anywhere. Best bet may be Walmart or Target unless someone knows of a sale.

kjohnson0131-Have you checked BJs or Sams Club? They seem to be the cheapest since you can buy them in bulk. I wouldn't buy the NB size since they grow out of them so quick. Instead buy a larger size like a 3 or 4 that the new parent/s can use later on.

kjohnson - Check with Babies R Us. I have heard from friends that their diapers are some of the cheapest. I personally cannot confirm this though.

Kjohnson...CVS has a deal this week where it ends up being $5 for a jumbo pack for CVS diapters (You get 2 ECB back). I think they have wipes on sale as well...might have been pampers wipes, but I'm not 100% sure. Best gifts I got at my shower were wipes and diapers : )

I doubt babies r us has them cheap at all...they seem the priciest. I normally stock up at CVS when they run a good sale, or I go to BJ's and stock up there.

I agree with others...don't get newborn sizes. My two girls never wore newborn diapers as they were both big babies. Size 1-2 is great for baby showers.

tgarrett. I have made twiced baked potatoes before and frozen them, and they were fine. When my kids were small that was their favorite (still is actually). I would bake the potatoes, scoop them out, add sourcream, cheese and then restuff them. So I don't see why you can't do that or simply freeze in baggies.

I went to CVS on my lunch break and they had some Ensure 4pks 75% off. The retail price is around $9 give or take some cents. They were 2.07 and 2.44 a piece and I had a 3.00 of 2/4pks of Ensure. I paid 1.60. :) These are for my co-worker she will be very happy when she returns to work on Monday

Just ran into my local Harris Teeter and up by the check-out they have their large square boxes of Pampers Baby Dry diapers in a cart, marked down to $10. There were assorted sizes when I was there, and about fifteen boxes total.

I went to Lowe's Foods today, got everything on my list except for Luigi's Italian Ice, because they only had Lemon and Watermelon, Blue Raspberry flavors. Yuck! I love the Mango and Strawberry flavors! Being 8 months pregnant I was really looking forward to having italian ice! Has anyone bought the Strawberry or Mango flavor at their LF this week? I'm thinking about calling the Apex or Holly Springs store to see if they have either flavor. Any Raleigh LF would be fine too! I want my Italian Ice!!

NC whisperer, yes you can freeze eggs. But you have to open them, stir them without getting a lot of air bubbles in them, put them in an ice cube tray (one egg per cube space) and flash freeze them first. Once frozen you can pop them out and put them in plastic containers/bags and pop back in the freezer.

They will only be good for scrambled eggs or in baking needs.
