Coupon insert preview 3/11

Posted March 8, 2012

There should be 2 coupon inserts in the Sunday paper this week including 1 Redplum and 1 SmartSource.

If you have pets, hair, eyes or a nose, you are in good shape with the coupons this week. If you like to eat, not so much.

If we get the $1 Crave cat treats coupon in the preview, they will be .25 after sale at Food Lion this week.

Click HERE for a preview of the specific coupons we will probably have in our inserts this Sunday.  The preview of all the insert coupons is usually up by late Thursday afternoon.  Although some of these coupons may be a little different than the ones we receive, many will be the same.

If you buy the paper at a store on Sunday (instead of getting a subscription), make sure you buy it INSIDE the store, not from the paper boxes. You want to make sure your paper has the coupons in it before you pay, which you can't do if you are buying from the paper box.

Happy shopping everyone!

The paper is not responsible for the lack of good coupons like we used to get. The manufacturers are simply not giving us those good coupons anymore. To be honest, I would rather see coupons abolished and grocery prices lowered for everybody.

I do enjoy the News and Observer even without coupons! I now receive the Sunday only paper for $1.08 a week, delivered to my door which saves me gas and time.
There is a page for Family Dollar in the coupons today. If you use the Tide and Downy coupons at Family Dollar then the final price on those items is $4.00 each.

I cannot afford printer ink so I rely on the NandO coupons which are not very good anymore. It is terrible to have to buy 3 of an iten to be able to use the coupon. I live in a small apt without enough storage space so I cannot stock up food and supplies like I would like to. I wish the companies would offer coupons for one item.

It does seem as though my Sunday newspaper will soon be obsolete. If the coupons don't improve, I can cancel my subscription and use the money I save to buy more printer paper!

Faye, the more I see in the inserts the more I see a trend, better printables, not-so-great inserts.

Do you think by next year the majority of coupons (of any worth) will be moving to printables??

Drswayney - I agree regarding the newspaper insert coupons. The good news is that there have been many great printable coupons so all is not lost!:-)

I have been so disappointed in the coupons so far this year :-(

I guess my family and I are in trouble since we have this terrible habit of wanting to eat 3 times a day :)
