Just wanted to post my brag about the Harris Teeter double coupons this week. I got the following: 20 bottles of Pepsi products, 2 boxes of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, 2 boxes of Golden Grahms, 1 of those new cream cheese delights, one Chobani 4 pack of yogurt, 4 boxes of Fiber one bars, 2 smart balance butter, 1 smart balance milk, 2 totinos pizza rolls, 4 boxes of Hamburger Helper, 4 packs of cookie dough. Total before coupons was 125.40. I paid 41.06! Woo hoo! Can't wait for the next one.

I went to the post office yesterday and the Valentine mailing stock was half off. I just picked up a mailer because I liked the design not realizing it was Valentine until the clerk said these are half off- so I picked up another one!

Well said, chesirekat. I actually find that the employees at my Walmart (40/42 area between Garner and Clayton) are very nice. They price match produce deals for me every week with no issues or approval needed at all. They scan my printable coupons and don't give me any grief about them. The cashiers are pleasant and chatty. With that said, there are usually not enough lines open so I try to shop when it's not rush hour (lunch and 5 pm - 8 pm at night or anytime on the weekend). It's just too busy and takes too long to check out. So much comes from the management and if the manager is couponer friendly, I find the cashiers are usually nicer about accepting coupons. Thankfully, my WM is clearly one of the better ones when it comes to taking coupons. I'm sorry for those of you who don't have a positive experience at WM. It's so nice to be able to price match the produce deals because I just can't get to Aldi or Kroger most weeks.

My husband is a cashier at WM. He does his job with pride and has customers who make sure they go on his line. He deals with people who talk on their cell and let him know if it's credit or debit. He has people try to use expired coupons or coupons on products they didn't buy. He's been treated rudely. He works p/t to supplement his penison. He worked 35 yrs of being a supervisor of facilities at a college in NJ and could have stayed in management but wanted to work a few hours a week since he was bored. As for WM, they are good to our family. When Fred needed time off to go to NJ for a court hearing for our grandchildren, they gave him off a week so we could spend time with family. Fred has court ordered calls with our grandchildren Sundays and Walmart changed his schedule so he can make the call. They let him leave to pick me up when I got hurt. Every store will have one employee who doesn't "know" their job, so try not to judge every employee based on that. That's my 2 cents worth.

Use the 55c Keebler dark fudge stripes Q to get cookies for 89c, and the 1.00 Meow Mix Q to get cat food for 2.49 ea...made my 'children' & 'fur-babies' are happy:)

18 pounder Turkey (45c/lb @ WM in Nov) in the oven, & roasted some of those beautiful Aldi Colored peppers (that were on sale last week) w/ smoked salt...about to start a fire in the, where's the S N O W ? Kids are outta school tomorrow anyway, so let 'er rip!

Nancy, I do not DO Walmart either, life is too short for that kind of mess. The prices may be low but the frustration is high and every time I forget and go there I am reminded why I stopped shopping there. I have relationships with the HT staff, at WM I feel like an imposition to whatever they would have been doing beforew they had to stop and ring me up.

I have some extra $1.00/1 of Smart Balance Milk coupons that I would love to trade for some Smithfield bacon...if anyone has. I am in Raleigh

Unfortunately, WM is not about customer service, HT has spoiled us for ANY other store in the regard. And further, WM cashiers and even mgrs don't know their own store policy about coupons most of the time (not always). Worse still, is how little they understand about the coupons themselves (real vs fraudulent) or their system is very outdated - one or the other.

I'm very grateful I have little need for WM for my shopping. The last time I tried to use a coupon (one, one coupon) it was a study it making me feel like I was trying to fraud them out of less than $1! The cashier read the whole coupon, flipped it over (printable), before she would even scan it.

Just not worth my time :(
