So far during super doubles, I have spent a combined total of $22 for $157 worth (before VIC card and super doubled coupons). It is so much fun to save big like that! I have pictures of the items that I purchased here: http://homemakingmom.com/2012/02/htfeb15trip/

Because I have had to do shopping for three households this time at HT - I've done a lot of shopping in two days - whew! I have to do shopping for my brother/sister in law because she had surgery, my daughter who works 80 hr weeks and of course our household...I feel like I need to see if HT will rent me a corner of the stockroom so I can sleep there :)

I totaled raw numbers thus far and have gotten $339.53 in goods and paid $52.80! That's crazy good! And it makes it possible for my daughter and my brother's family to enjoy the savings too, although I'm seeing WAY too much of all my fav HT employees LOL :)

ferret - I go to the Sunset Lake Rd & Holly Springs Rd intersection HT which has a Holly Springs address (about 5 miles north on Sunset Lake Rd from Hwy 401 (Main St) in Fuquay

The other one I go to a lot is the one at Kildaire Farm Rd at the intersection with TenTen Rd.

I also, though, shop at the HT on Main St in Fuquay although that store is smaller and might run out of things sooner if you're not able to be there first thing on first day?

I also shop at the HT at the corner of Walnut St and Tryon, in Cary, not far from Crossroads/Rte 1/40 interchange.

Jdouglas - I don't need any chuck roasts at the moment but hubby is always happy to stock up on his filet mignon LOL I'll save that $10/$50 for his steak habit :)

Nancy, you mentioned the $10/50 Recyclebank coupon and said you were saving it for a meat sale. I used one of those coupons recently at Lowes since they take competitors coupons. It might match up nicely with the sale they are running on chuck roasts. Wish I had thought of it sooner!

nancy, 6 stores in two days! wow! so for someone coming from lee county what 2 locations would get your highest recommendation for this sd's shop?

  • sbigham3 Feb 16, 2012

Nancy--Thank you! I thought the ZVR was for a different brand. We hardly eat bacon, so yes, I will wait to see if it lowers in price!

  • Nancy Feb 16, 2012

I have to say, HT has done a FANSTASTIC job at keeping stock up for this sale - only needed two rain checks so far on day two! I complimented the staff yesterday and today at the stores I shopped in (6 total between the two days LOL).

You can't beat their efforts anywhere and they do it with a smile too :)

sbigham - the bacon deal is Smithfield bacon, 1 lb package on sale for $3.50 and there was recently an insert coupon for $1 off any Smithfield bacon, making it $1.50 - a very good price for bacon!

The $3 ZVR coupon is for Oscar Mayer bacon. BUT at HT they regularly discount (you will see yellow stickers with the amount off) the bacon when it is approaching expiration date - but since they are vacuum sealed packages, buy them and toss in the freezer! Often I see $3 stickers on the OM bacon, and when you buy it, you'll get your $3 off ZVR as well if you saved it and get a 1 lb package of OM for 99 cents!
