Interesting story, sbourgeois. I am amazed that the cashier had no idea it was super doubles. I'll check on the .75 doubling. Even if they did change it, I would not be bothered. It is once in a blue moon that I have a coupon that is between .76 and .99, anyway. Thanks for sharing!

had a funny experience at lowes foods at brier creek today...i tried only 7 items to see if i would have any problems with doubeling...4 did double and when i told the young cashier that 3 of them didnt, she told me they wouldnt because they were 1 dollar ones and they dont double. well, the other 4 were 1 dollar ones as well and she said she knew nothing about the super double event...anyway, one of the mangers came over and manually took off the rest of the amount after inspecting my coupons...none of them said DND on them...what a drag...HT is sooo much better...less hassle...p.s. the lowes foods manager also told me that from now on they would only double coupons up to 75 cents not 99 cents anymore (after this week)...

As I was checking out at Harris Teeter today, the manager reminded me about super doubles next week. Let's just hope for some good deals!

queene01- I have also been told the same thing at lowes when using a coupon that I got in the midweek newspaper (when I tried to use it I forgot they were for the Sunday paper and I think I tried to use it on the Friday before the paper came out). The cashier just said it said not active yet-I told her I had never heard of that but no biggy-they just took the item off since I couldn't use the coupon. They were very nice about it.

Bklyn - nope, not going out ... in fact, once I get rolling on a project, I hate to stop and eat at all, bad habit :)

stephw - that's a great price on the flour! I may have to do that myself, I seem to be using a lot of it lately and 10# is doable I think LOL

From Savvysaver: "Do you have to print out the offer to get the $5 OYNO for the gift cards? Also, I want to be sure I can use the catalina at HT or Lowe's Foods? Faye - Can you verify that I can use this $5 ONYO at any grocery store?"

Savvysaver: You do not have to bring anything to Food Lion in order to get the offer. All the details are on the Food Lion ad which is also posted on their website at foodlion.com. You go to Food Lion, but one of the qualifying $25 gift cards and then a $5 coupon that can be used on your next order will print out. It is the policy of Lowes Foods and Harris Teeter to take the Catalina coupons for a total off your order so you should be able to use them at either store. If you have a problem using it, talk to the manager and then to corporate. I have used Food Lion Catalina coupons for a total off my order many many times at Ht and Lowes with no issues at all.

Was in and out of the one in Apex in about 3 minutes! Love free bagels! :) Went to BJs and got flour there -- $5 for 10# :) Thought that was decent!

I stopped at the Bruegger's in Garner and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes.
